Description complète du poste

Are you a hands-on problem solver who enjoys improving processes, reducing waste, and helping teams succeed? Prolific Group is looking for a Quality & Continuous Improvement Coordinator/Specialist who is ready to make a real impact.

In this role, you will work closely with production, customer service, accounting, and leadership to strengthen quality systems, reduce spoilage and rework, solve recurring problems, and support practical improvements across the business. If you enjoy being on the production floor, working with people, using data to find solutions, and turning ideas into lasting improvements, this could be a great opportunity for you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Investigate spoilage, rework, non-conformance, and customer quality concerns to determine what happened, why it happened, and how to prevent recurrence.
  • Lead root cause analysis using practical tools such as 5 Whys, fishbone diagrams, process review, data analysis, and direct observation.
  • Work with department managers, supervisors, leads, and operators to implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Prepare and maintain spoilage and rework reporting, including cost impact, trends, recurring causes, and recommended improvement actions.
  • Support the development, documentation, training, and follow-up of standard operating procedures, work instructions, and best practices.
  • Track and report quality and continuous improvement KPIs, including spoilage cost, rework, first-pass yield, recurring defects, customer complaints, and completed improvement projects.
  • Facilitate cross-functional continuous improvement projects that improve quality, flow, efficiency, safety, cost, and customer value.
  • Participate as an active member of the Continuous Improvement Steering Committee and provide practical recommendations supported by data and shop-floor feedback.
  • Train, coach, and support employees on quality standards, Lean thinking, problem-solving, standard work, and a no-blame approach focused on improving the process.

Skills, Training & Experience

  • Minimum five years of experience in a manufacturing, production, quality, or continuous improvement environment.
  • Lean/continuous improvement experience is required; Lean Green Belt or equivalent practical experience is strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead or support improvement projects with measurable results.
  • Project management experience, including the ability to plan, coordinate, prioritize, and follow improvement initiatives through to completion.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including comfort working with production data, costing information, quality trends, and operational metrics.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work respectfully and effectively with employees at all levels.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook; Power BI or dashboard experience would be an asset.
  • Ability to develop practical SOPs, training materials, checklists, and visual management tools.
  • Practical understanding of change management and the ability to influence without relying solely on authority.
  • Comfort using AI or automation tools to reduce administrative work and improve efficiency.

Why Join Us?

At Prolific Group, continuous improvement is already part of our culture. With an established Lean program and an active Continuous Improvement Steering Committee, this is an opportunity to be hands-on, work with great people, and help turn practical ideas into lasting improvements.

If you are energized by teamwork, problem-solving, and making a visible impact, we would like to hear from you.
