Job description

BOCADO RESTAURANT is currently hiring a Restaurant Manager.

BOCADO RESTAURANT is a Spanish inspired restaurant, with a location in Prince Edward County, BOCADO is a true expression of the Mediterranean, and Spanish cuisine through its colourful menu and thoughtful décor.

The Manager will play a key role in supporting the restaurant vision for high quality service and ensuring that it is delivered, with a hands-on approach where required, in a professional, safe and efficient manner.

As a Restaurant Manager you will oversee daily operations of our establishment, empower and lead your team to deliver exceptional guest experiences. You promote a respectful team environment and manage team members with open communication and understanding. You have the knowledge, skills and long-term vision to support in the running of a successful business.

You are driven by training and coaching a diverse team to achieve and maintain Bocado's high standards of operation. You thrive in the fast-paced atmosphere and love coming to work every day! Your 3- 5 years of service experience in a supervisory role combined with your practical knowledge of training and coaching team members makes you an ideal candidate for this role.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist with management of day-to-day operations of the restaurant, and active floor management during service
  • Lead guests through interesting and diverse wine lists and food menu
  • Help to lead staff training and development in the areas of wine service, and overall service excellence
  • Perform opening and closing responsibilities
  • overseeing of inventory and ordering product
  • assisting and organizing reservationist with emails and phone calls

Qualifications

You have a great sense of passion for wine, food, and culinary excellence. You are a hospitality professional that is eager to share your knowledge and passion for wine with others. You show true initiative, drive and stamina and are willing to go above and beyond to engage our guests sincerely. You are looking for a position where you can grow your knowledge and experience and advance your career.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage a large and variable workload, ensuring timely and accurate verbal and written communication skills
  • Previous experience with silverware POS preferred but not essential
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
