Overview

Site 2020 is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Driver / Shipping & Receiving Assistant to join our team.

This is a varied, hands-on role that combines local driving, shipping and receiving, and production support. The successful candidate will be responsible for picking up and delivering parts and products to and from suppliers and customers, coordinating shipping and receiving requirements, preparing and packaging shipments, and assisting with production assembly activities as needed.

The ideal candidate takes pride in the quality and accuracy of their work, follows instructions carefully, and is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where priorities can vary from day to day.

Responsibilities

Approximate Percentage of work

  • 25% driving (1500 series pick-up truck and 26" box truck with air breaks)
  • 50% Shipping/receiving
  • 25% other duties as required

Responsibilities

· Pick up and deliver parts, materials, and finished products to and from suppliers and customers.

· Safely operate company vehicles, including a 1500-series pickup truck and 26-foot box truck with air brakes.

· Receive incoming materials and products, verifying quantities and condition against documentation.

· Prepare products and materials for shipment, including packaging, crating, labeling, and completing required shipping documentation.

· Coordinate shipping and receiving requirements using computer-based applications.

· Maintain accurate shipping and receiving records.

· Assemble electronic components and products according to specifications, instructions, and technical drawings.

· Inspect assembled products to ensure quality, accuracy, and compliance with specifications.

· Assist with production activities and other general duties as required.

· Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

· Follow all company safety procedures and applicable workplace standards.

· Support the team with other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Class 3 or 5 Nova Scotia Drivers License with Air Break Certification
  • Clean driving record.
  • Knowledge of supply chain processes, including shipping, receiving, and warehouse distribution is a plus.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
  • Strong organizational skills with the capability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
