Kitchen Manager

Location: Santa Lucia Pizza – 905 Corydon Avenue, Winnipeg, MB
Job Type: Full-Time
Salary: $45,000–$60,000 per year
Performance Bonus: Earn an additional $1,000–$3,000 per month based on performance and achievement of company goals.

About the Role

Santa Lucia Pizza is looking for an experienced, motivated, and hands-on Kitchen Manager to lead our kitchen team. We are seeking a strong leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is passionate about food quality, and knows how to build a positive team culture while maintaining excellent operational standards.

What You'll Do

  • Lead and oversee all daily kitchen operations.
  • Supervise, coach, and motivate a team of approximately 12–15 kitchen staff.
  • Ensure all food is prepared consistently and meets our quality standards.
  • Maintain the highest standards of food safety, cleanliness, and sanitation.
  • Manage inventory, ordering, receiving, and stock rotation.
  • Control food costs, waste, and portioning to achieve company targets.
  • Monitor and manage labour costs through effective scheduling and staffing.
  • Train, develop, and evaluate kitchen employees.
  • Foster a positive, respectful, and productive work environment.
  • Work closely with ownership and management to improve kitchen efficiency and profitability.
  • Ensure all company policies and health regulations are followed.

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience as a Kitchen Manager, Sous Chef, or in a similar leadership role.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
  • Experience controlling food cost, labour cost, and kitchen inventory.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to multitask and perform well under pressure.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
  • A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and commitment to excellence.
  • Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
