Duties

• Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages accurately and efficiently using POS systems such as Micros POS.
• Engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner, taking orders and providing recommendations.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the restaurant, adhering to food safety and food handling standards.
• Handle cash transactions accurately, including cashiering and cash handling responsibilities.
• Ensure responsible serving practices in compliance with alcohol laws and regulations.
• Restock bar supplies as needed, including garnishes, glassware, and beverages.
• Monitor guest behaviour to promote a safe environment and prevent over-serving.
• Collaborate with restaurant staff to ensure smooth service flow during busy periods.
• Manage time effectively to serve multiple guests efficiently while maintaining high service standards.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant or food service experience preferred, especially in bar tending roles.
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS is highly desirable.
• Strong customer service skills with an emphasis on hospitality and guest satisfaction.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
• Basic math skills for cash handling, making change, and calculating tabs accurately.
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to serve alcohol responsibly in accordance with legal requirements.
