Line Cook — Prequel & Co. Apothecary

From the creators of the internationally recognized cocktail bar BarChef, Prequel & Co. Apothecary is seeking passionate and detail-oriented Line Cooks to join our culinary team in Toronto.

Inspired by Paris during the late 1800s and early 1900s, Prequel & Co. Apothecary offers an immersive cocktail and dining experience focused on refined French-inspired cuisine, elevated hospitality, and creative execution.

We are looking for individuals who are motivated, organized, and eager to grow within a fast-paced and professional kitchen environment.

Position Details

  • Full-Time / Part-Time Available
  • Evening & Weekend Availability Required
  • 8–12 Hour Shifts

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and execute menu items with precision and consistency
  • Maintain daily mise en place, prep lists, and station organization
  • Ensure cleanliness and sanitation standards are upheld at all times
  • Follow recipes, plating standards, and chef instructions accurately
  • Assist with inventory organization, labeling, and stock rotation
  • Work collaboratively with kitchen and service teams during busy service periods
  • Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
  • Maintain professionalism, urgency, and attention to detail throughout service

Requirements

  • Previous kitchen or line cook experience preferred
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to multitask and perform under pressure
  • Passion for hospitality, food, and guest experience
  • Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
  • Comfortable standing for long periods and lifting up to 50 lbs
  • Food Handler Certification considered an asset
