Line Cook

Position Summary

The Line Cook is responsible for preparing high-quality dishes according to standardized recipes, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and speed during service. This role supports the Sous Chef and Head Chef in maintaining kitchen organization, cleanliness, and food safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

· Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and plating standards

· Set up and stock stations with necessary ingredients, equipment, and supplies

· Execute dishes during service with accuracy, speed, and presentation consistency

· Maintain a clean, organized workstation throughout service

· Follow proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures

· Assist with daily prep tasks as assigned

· Communicate stock shortages and equipment issues to supervisors

· Help with receiving, labeling, rotating, and storing inventory (FIFO)

· Maintain a professional, team‑focused attitude in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications

· 1–3 years line cook or equivalent kitchen experience preferred

· Strong knife skills and understanding of cooking methods

· Ability to work efficiently under pressure

· Food Handler Certification an asset

· Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 40

Job Type: Seasonal
Contract length: 8 months

Pay: $19.00-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week

Work Location: In person
