Join The Gourmet Warehouse Cooking School, where hands-on cooking classes, chef demonstrations, private celebrations, and corporate events come to life. We’re looking for a warm, organized, and service-minded team member who enjoys a lively environment and takes pride in making every guest feel welcome.

· Work alongside chef instructors and a collaborative hospitality team

What you’ll do

  • Welcome guests, assist with check-in and seating, and answer questions about classes and events.
  • Set up tables, cooking stations, beverages, glassware, and event materials before guests arrive.
  • Provide attentive food and beverage service during cooking classes, demonstrations, tastings, and private events.
  • Coordinate service timing with chef instructors and support a smooth, enjoyable class experience.
  • Engage warmly with guests, including families and children when applicable.
  • Communicate dietary restrictions, allergies, and special requests promptly to the chef and manager.
  • Support guest transactions and accurate cash handling when required.
  • Maintain food safety, cleanliness, and responsible beverage-service standards; complete event cleanup and room resets.

What we’re looking for

  • At least 2 years of recent serving or comparable hospitality/event-service experience preferred.
  • Strong customer service, communication, teamwork, and confidence engaging groups.
  • Valid Serving It Right certification; FOODSAFE Level 1 or ability to obtain it before independent shifts.
  • Reliable availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays based on class and event schedules.
  • Comfortable standing for much of the shift and helping with setup, service, and cleanup.
  • Experience with events, private events, POS/cash handling, or wine service is an asset.
  • Legally entitled to work in Canada.
