Overview
We are seeking a friendly and motivated Part-Time Retail BBQ Store Associate to join our team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain experience in the retail environment. The ideal candidate will be passionate about bbq, have a positive attitude, and enjoy working in a customer focused retail environment. This position is perfect for individuals looking to develop their skills in sales, and customer engagement. Bbq knowledge is an ASSET.

Duties

  • Assist customers with selecting products and answer questions about our BBQ products
  • Operate POS systems, including square POS, for processing transactions accurately
  • Handle cash and perform cashiering duties with attention to detail and integrity
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the store, including food handling areas
  • Restock shelves and ensure product displays are appealing and organized
  • Follow food safety protocols and sanitation procedures at all times
  • Manage time effectively to ensure smooth store operations during busy hours
  • Support team members as needed in various store functions

Skills

  • Experience in retail
  • Familiarity with POS systems, especially square POS, is a plus
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers
  • Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and making change accurately
  • Knowledge of smoking and bbq products
  • Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and adapt quickly to changing needs
  • Previous experience in retail
  • Upselling techniques to promote products effectively
