Job Overview
We’re on the lookout for a friendly and energetic Food and Beverage Server to join our vibrant hospitality team. In this role, you’ll be the face of our establishment, providing top-notch service to guests while ensuring their dining experience is memorable and enjoyable. Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm, offering recommendations and upselling specials when appropriate.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS (Point of Sale) systems such as Micros POS, ensuring all details are correct.
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining a clean and organized work area, following proper sanitation and food safety protocols.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering duties, while providing friendly guest service.
- Assist in food preparation or setup when needed, supporting kitchen staff with basic food handling and sanitation practices.
- Monitor guest satisfaction throughout their visit, responding promptly to any concerns or special requests to ensure a positive experience.
- Maintain knowledge of menu items, ingredients, and food industry standards to effectively answer questions and promote menu items.
Experience
- Prior food service or restaurant experience is highly preferred but not mandatory; enthusiasm to learn is key!
- Familiarity with POS systems like Micros POS or similar technology is a plus.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours.
- Experience in food handling, sanitation, and basic math for accurate cash handling and billing.
- Background in hospitality or the food industry helps in delivering excellent guest services and upselling opportunities.
- Knowledge of food safety standards, food preparation techniques, and kitchen operations is beneficial.
