Banquet Chef

The National Club is seeking an ambitious and passionate Banquet Chef to join our culinary team.

Working closely with the Executive Chef, the Banquet Chef will play a key role in creating exceptional menus and delivering memorable dining experiences for banquets, weddings, member events, and special occasions. This individual will lead the banquet kitchen by example, taking a hands-on approach to ensure the highest standards of quality, consistency, and presentation.

The ideal candidate is a creative problem solver who thrives in a fast-paced environment and remains calm under pressure. They possess a positive attitude, a strong work ethic, and a genuine desire to learn and grow within a dynamic culinary team. A passion for fine food, innovation, and culinary excellence is essential.

The Banquet Chef must be an effective leader who builds strong relationships with both the Front of House and Back of House teams, fostering collaboration to ensure seamless event execution and an exceptional guest experience.

Reporting to the Executive Chef, the Banquet Chef is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the banquet kitchen. This includes planning, organizing, directing, and supervising banquet food production, while leading and developing the banquet culinary team. The successful candidate will ensure all banquet functions are executed efficiently, on schedule, and to the exceptional standards for which The National Club is known.

Additional Information:

Full time salaried position

Works 40+ hours per week

Monday to Friday (some weekends required)

Benefit package after 6 months

RRSP contribution after 2 years service

3 weeks vacation during first year of employment

Annual Bonus based on performance, position and tenure

Minimum 5 years experience

Red seal preferred

Reports to the Executive Chef

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00-$74,000.00 per year
