We are presently searching for our next great team member as an Alpine Guest Services (AGS) Supervisor to join our Alpine Guest Services team. If you can provide our guests with an amazing experience, combined with working as an energetic part of our resort, we want to hear from you.

Responsibilities include: (but not limited to)

  • Train, mentor and lead AGS Staff (including ticketing, rentals, tech shop, and retail).
  • Oversee Alpine Guest Services Building and report directly to the AGS Manager.
  • Monitor and delegate tasks for rental, retail, snow school, ticket and season pass sales.
  • Manage inventory and submit orders as required to AGS Manager.
  • Ensure high levels of customer service and respond to complex customer inquiries.
  • Manage the flow of AGS to ensure high level end-to-end customer satisfaction.
  • Supervise and evaluate AGS Staff and give constructive feedback in employee reviews.
  • Help with creating schedules for the team with the AGS Manager.
  • Create a positive team environment and motivate AGS Staff.
  • Assist guests with products and services; in-person, by phone, and by e-mail.
  • Provide guests with accurate information regarding Alpine Services and Manning Park Resort.
  • Prepare guest orders of rental equipment, snow school lessons, and/or lift tickets; processing payments through point-of-sale system.
  • Distributing pre-purchased rentals and tickets and registering Snow School participants.
  • Tech and adjust the rental equipment to meet specific customer needs.
  • Tuning and repairs of Guest Alpine Equipment and rental equipment when required.
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment for guests and colleagues at all times, including cleaning washrooms, cleaning floors and keeping the Alpine Guest Services Building sanitized.
  • Set up and take down crowd control measures and snow school signage.
  • Shoveling snow and maintaining a clear and ice-free environment around the AGS Building.
  • Follow outlined policies to find solutions to guests' issues.
  • Offer technical support for online purchases.
  • Assist with sales system issues and reports.
  • Assist in the marketing, promotion and sales of Manning Park Resort products (ski school, group bookings, season passes and/or day tickets).
  • Other tasks as required.

Job Requirements / Qualifications:

  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to delegate and execute tasks.
  • Responsible and self-motivated individual able to assess and prioritize necessary duties.
  • Ability to work in a high-paced environment as both an individual and team player.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills.
  • Strong computer skills including excel, online sales platforms and POS.
  • Will be required to work Weekends and Holidays.
  • Previous supervisory experience is an asset.
  • Ski Hill knowledge is an asset specifically for ticketing, rentals or snow school.
  • Good physical condition; Able to work in outdoor, adverse weather conditions and perform manual labor.

This is a Seasonal Position, so you must be able to commit to the role for the full Winter Season (November-April). As a seasonal team member, you may be presented with opportunities to cross train and support in other departments to meet seasonal demands.
