Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Permanent Part-Time Cook. This role is ideal for someone passionate about the food industry, with a focus on providing exceptional service and ensuring high standards of food safety and quality. The position offers an opportunity to develop skills in food preparation, cooking, and customer service within a dynamic restaurant environment. Candidates should be eager to contribute to a positive dining experience for our guests and work collaboratively with team members.

Hours and Perks

  • Monday to Friday (No stat holidays): 8 AM to close. May start earlier if there are events
  • Weekends as needed for events
  • Free parking on-site
  • Tips: $2 - $3.50 per hour

Duties

  • Prepare and serve food items according to established recipes and presentation standards
  • Assist in food preparation, including chopping, assembling, and portioning ingredients
  • Cook menu items efficiently while maintaining quality and consistency
  • Handle food safely by following proper hygiene and sanitation procedures
  • Ensure all food handling practices comply with health regulations and safety standards
  • Maintain cleanliness of kitchen stations, utensils, and equipment throughout shifts
  • Support the serving staff by delivering orders promptly and accurately
  • Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth kitchen operations
  • Follow all safety protocols to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment
  • Other duties as assigned

Skills

  • 2+ years previous experience as a Cook
  • Knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and meal assembly
  • Familiarity with food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure quality presentation and consistency of dishes
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining high standards
  • Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards collaboration
  • Good communication skills for effective coordination with team members and servers
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities during busy service hours

  • Excellent hygiene: clean and neat presentation and hygiene conscious
  • Reliable, dependable, honest, and hardworking
  • Must be able to work as a team player
  • Food safe certificate (Preference)
