Job Title: Waiter / Waitress

Locations: King Tandoori Maritime, Bovaird, Kennedy & Rutherford (placement agreed upon during interview)

Position Type: Full-Time / Part-Time

King Tandoori is looking for a friendly, reliable, and customer-focused Waiter or Waitress to join our restaurant team. If you enjoy working with people, providing excellent service, and being part of a fast-paced environment, we would love to hear from you.

Responsibilities

  • Welcome and seat guests in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently.
  • Serve meals and drinks while ensuring a positive dining experience.
  • Answer customer questions about menu items and specials.
  • Understanding of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling practices.
  • Process payments and handle customer transactions.
  • Work collaboratively with kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service.
  • Support with live caterings as needed.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a customer-facing role (restaurant, retail, hospitality, or similar environment).
  • Ability to speak Punjabi/Hindi & English.
  • Strong understanding of Indian Cuisine.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
  • Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Micros POS.
  • Positive attitude and commitment to excellent customer service.
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Previous restaurant serving experience is an asset but not required.

Compensation

This position pays minimum wage, in accordance with applicable employment standards.
