Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Cook to join our culinary team. The successful candidate will assist with daily food preparation and kitchen operations while maintaining high standards of food quality, cleanliness, and food safety. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced hospitality environment and is committed to providing excellent dining experiences for our guests.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook food according to established recipes, standards, and portion sizes.
  • Assist with breakfast, lunch, dinner, banquet, and other food service operations as required.
  • Ensure food is prepared, stored, and handled in accordance with food safety standards.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work area throughout the shift.
  • Assist with receiving, storing, and rotating food supplies.
  • Minimize food waste and use ingredients efficiently.
  • Work cooperatively with other kitchen team members to ensure timely food service.
  • Follow all hotel policies, procedures, and health and safety requirements.
  • Assist with cleaning kitchen equipment, workstations, and other areas as required.
  • Perform other kitchen duties as assigned by the Chef or Kitchen Supervisor.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Previous cooking or kitchen experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of food preparation and basic cooking techniques.
  • Food Handler Certification is an asset.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Ability to follow recipes, instructions, and food safety procedures.
  • Reliable, punctual, and dependable.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as required.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical kitchen duties.
