Host/Hostess

We are seeking an experienced, friendly, and customer-oriented individual to join our team as a Host/Hostess. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional customer service and creating a welcoming dining experience. If you are passionate about hospitality and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, we would love to hear from you.

Responsibilities

  • Greet guests warmly and professionally upon arrival
  • Escort guests to their tables, provide menus, and introduce their server
  • Assist with seating arrangements to ensure efficient use of dining space
  • Manage the waitlist during peak periods and provide accurate wait-time estimates
  • Bus and clean tables as needed
  • Answer phone calls and assist with reservations, takeout orders, delivery orders, and guest inquiries
  • Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure a smooth flow of service
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/hostess station
  • Process retail beer store sales in accordance with company policies and regulations
  • Handle guest concerns or complaints professionally and escalate issues when necessary
  • Work with Managers, the kitchen, and the rest of the host team to ensure successful services.

Requirements

  • Previous customer service experience, preferably in the hospitality industry
  • Previous hosting experience is considered an asset
  • Excellent communication and phone etiquette skills
  • Strong guest-service skills with the ability to anticipate guest needs and exceed expectations
  • Familiarity with POS systems and restaurant operations
  • Ability to multitask and perform well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle difficult situations with professionalism
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.95 per hour

Expected hours: 30.0 – 40.0 per week
