THE ROLE

Thank you for your interest in joining our team as Pastry Cook.

The wage will be negotiable based on experience.

Duties Include (but are not limited to):

  • Adhere to recipes and specifications to maintain consistency and ensure all standards are met,
  • Keep overproduction and food waste to a minimum, ensuring proper rotation, labeling, and storing of food,
  • Ensure all food products are handled, stored, prepared and served safely in accordance with hotel and government Food Safety guidelines,
  • Comply with all safety regulations, and ensure a clean and safe working environment with active participation in the hotel health and safety program,
  • Assume responsibility for the basic operations of workstation for short periods when required in the absence of the Pastry Chef,
  • Report for shifts on time with a professional appearance and positive attitude

Ideal candidate:

  • 2 years of pastry experience is required,
  • Physically capable of lifting and carrying heavy items and standing for long periods of time,
  • Is a team player, able to work in close conditions with several other people,
  • Can work well under pressure,
  • Has a flexible schedule to accommodate business needs and available weekends and holidays

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00-$23.00 per hour
