easy work most of the time and they compensate well. Benefits are a huge plus
DRIVER (Employé actuel) – Phoenix, AZ – 8 octobre 2019
The company, like any company. There are good and bad aspects. Overall it’s good pay and if you want to drive especially as a swing driver, the money is good. Worst is work-life balance. The hours are wonky even as a non swing driver. There’s never a for sure ending time as you don’t know if planes/trucks will be late with the freight arriving to the stations and whatnot. You leave late, your truck is full with 130 stops, I guess you’re working from 6am-8pm. Which is great if you’re single without any little ones. Management’s solution is “get a sitter” in stead of making accommodations for those who have children to raise on their own. My thing is I’ll hustle and work hard for your company if you work with me. So that’s the most disappointing thing associated with working here in my opinion. Other than if you’re not a driver, you’re working split shifts at the airport as a handler inside or as a material handler outside. If that’s your thing, god speed! I couldn’t get used to that schedule and I worked it for over 3 years.
