What is a Senior Financial Reporting Manager at Yellow Pages?

The position is responsible for the preparation of the annual and quarterly consolidated financial statements under the supervision of the Corporate Controller.
These responsibilities include collecting, evaluating and analyzing financial information from other corporate finance functions and the preparation of financial statements and documentation to support consolidation adjustments and financial statement footnotes in a timely manner.
May also be responsible for special projects and ad hoc requests as they arise.

Responsibilities:

• Preparation of financial statements, notes, Management Discussion and Analysis, Press Release, as well as ensuring compliance with accounting standards in a timely manner; include adequate planning with several other departments across the organization and planning with external auditors.
• Preparation of consolidation file and supporting schedules and journal entries used to prepare the financial statements on a monthly basis.
• Staying up to date on new accounting standards.
• Manage the accounting for share-based compensation (Journal entries and tracking), preparing monthly payroll and restructuring account reconciliations, and managing the monthly consolidation process
• Coordinate and provide accounting information to external auditors during quarterly reviews and annual audits.
• Preparation of other statutory requirements (Statistics Canada quarterly reports, financial statements for tax filings) in a timely manner

Assisting with documentation around all processes, procedures and controls related to the consolidation process. Maintain and update internal control documentation as needed. As well as continue to improve the end-to-end processes and procedures followed in the preparation of the Company’s financial statements.

What do you need to be a Senior Manager - External Reporting at Yellow Pages?

Qualifications:

• CPA designation is an asset
• 3-5 years of experience in accounting with at least 2 years experience of relevant professional experience in external reporting
• Strong accounting and technical knowledge of IFRS Accounting Standards
• Advanced excel and word skills required
• This position involves DAILY interactions with clients or internal and/or external professionals at the national level. Therefore, BILINGUALISM in French and English is required
• Experience with accounting software (an asset)

Nice to have:

• Results driven, good problem-solving skills and quick learner
• Effective team player able to work well with internal and external partners. Comfort with all levels of management.
• Strong organization skills, detail oriented, with the ability to take ownership and work under tight deadlines and pressure.

Pay: $80,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
