Role Summary:
Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the Electrical & Mechanical Technician is responsible for all maintenance tasks involving Weigh scales, Conveyors, Automated labelers, Automated Packers, printers, and generally all of the GPP Processing Equipment.
How you can contribute:
- Accurately documenting all tasks and work
- Operating and maintaining CMMS Software
- Operating and resetting circuit breakers.
- Replacing, repairing, or conducting preventative maintenance to conveyors and automated equipment.
- Replacing, repairing, calibrating, or performing preventative maintenance to instrumentation (switches, electronic eyes, control mechanisms, servos, load cells).
- Conducting preventative maintenance for major equipment and variable frequency drives.
- Building and installing miscellaneous items as required.
- Repairing and replacing machine parts for all processing equipment.
- Commissioning and start-ups of new equipment.
- Ensuring completion and documentation of all tasks assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor.
- Work between all the group in the facility to ensure environments, systems, and equipment are meeting the operational needs of the teams
You’re really good at:
- Ability to understand and follow documented procedures.
- The ability to work quickly, efficiently, and reliably in a fast-paced work environment.
- Proven ability to work well under pressure with a strong attention to detail.
- Must be organized and able to document all work.
Things we hope you have:
- Post-secondary CEGEP/vocational or technical training an asset.
- Must have a minimum of 3 to 5 years related experience.
- knowledge and experience using hand tools and low voltage (PLC) trouble shooting.
- Knowledge and experience with DDC, DCS, BAS, or BMS process control software would be an asset.
- Knowledge and experience using a CMMS required.
- Basic understanding of HVAC systems.
- Proven ability to effectively use Microsoft Office Applications is required.
- Must have the ability to obtain A/RPIC status as per Health Canada ACMPR regulations
- Must be organized and able to document all work.
- Must have the ability to obtain Security status as per Health Canada regulations.
