Position: Maintenance Technician
Schedule: Full-time; 5:45am - 2:15pm or 2:00pm - 10:30pm
Location: 23011 Fraserwood Way, Richmond, BC V6V 3B3

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the Maintenance Technician is responsible for welding and metal fabrication and performs routine and preventative maintenance of building systems. The successful candidate will show leadership and initiative; understand and adhere to all plant Food and Safety Policies.

Summ! Responsibilities:

• Machine and fabricate parts for equipment repairs and/or upgrades
• Welding of stainless steel and aluminum
• Shared responsibility to ensure daily operation of all plant production equipment
• Trouble shooting/repairs/installations of processing and packaging equipment
• Perform repairs to building mechanical systems as required
• Actively participate in our monthly preventative maintenance programs and records.
• Recommend and implement corrective action and required repairs.
• Use of a computerized maintenance management system

Summ! Requirements:

• BC or Interprovincial Red Seal Certification as a Millwright (Industrial Mechanic) or equivalent Canadian journeyperson certification.
• Experience working with a CMMS (Computer Maintenance Management Software) an asset
• Red Seal Millwright or 4th Class Power Engineer preferred
• TIG welding experience is preferred
• Metalworks (fabricating machine components) experience is preferred
• Mechanical and electrical repair knowledge is required
• Knowledge of electrical equipment (AC Drives, power control circuits, starters, MCC's, motors) an asset
• Instrumentation (pneumatic controls, hydraulics, transducers, servos) is an asset
• Automation & DDC experience is an asset
• Boiler, refrigeration, and HVAC experience is an asset
• 5 years of experience in an industrial manufacturing environment is preferred
