Positive Life Concepts Recruitment is very excited to be working with a local company that is a one-stop shop for farm and construction equipment parts. Our client is looking for a long term employee who would be interested in successional planning roles within the organization.

The Agriculture Parts Counter Sales Technician candidate is successful, loyal and is a hardworking team player who has skills, and knowledge of the agricultural industry and is committed to making sure that client satisfaction and safety are top priorities. You will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, assisting customers with their purchases, and ensuring a smooth and efficient sales process. Responsibilities and Skills:

  • Market, demonstrate, and sell, new and used Ag, and construction parts;
  • Profile new and existing customers while ensuring existing customer satisfaction with products, or services;
  • Keep abreast of business trends that will affect customer purchases;
  • Keep current on product knowledge, features, and benefits of all equipment potentially saleable;
  • To immediately help and supply Service Techs with parts as required;
  • Excellent communication skills with advanced listening skills to determine customer needs;
  • Experience with providing effective client service over the phone or other computers devices using proven communication techniques;
  • Good organization and time management skills are required;
  • A driven desire to immediately greet and acknowledge customers upon arrival, and always show concern for the needs and problems of our customers;
  • Perform necessary housekeeping duties to always ensure a neat and clean appearance of the showroom;
  • Verifies receipting-in of shipments and assists with placing received stock orders in their proper inventory locations;
  • Follows up on shortages and expedites issues by reporting to the Parts Manager;
  • Suggestively sell additional parts, merchandise and other company products and services;
  • Promptly complete all out of stock or special-order parts requests;
  • Receive correct payment from customers and complete proper documentation;
  • Keep current on product bulletins and catalog changes;
  • Properly track all lost sales on stock and non-stocked items;
  • Assist in annual physical parts inventory;
  • Take the prescribed training courses to advance your knowledge in assisting in the customer’s needs;
  • Align your actions with the company culture of providing solutions to the customers’ equipment and support needs using INTEGRITY, EXCELLENCE, and TEAMWORK to achieve financial success for all.

Qualifications:

  • Strong preference will be given to those with their Journeyman or Apprentice Parts certification;
  • Strong computer skills is a must;
  • Basic to good knowledge of tractors, tractor parts, automotive, and/or trucks;
  • Knowledge of QuickBooks would be considered an asset;
  • A minimum of 3-5 years' of parts and machinery would also be an advantage;
  • Ability to work in a team environment;
  • Ability to lift items weighing up to 75 lbs;
  • Ability to run a forklift safely;
  • Driver’s License and Clean drivers abstract (Class 1 holders will be given preference);
  • Must provide a clean criminal record check.

Salary and Schedule:
The schedule is Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm and may include weekends during year end duties. Salary to commensurate with experience, knowledge and career goals & company needs.

Pay: $45,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
