Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable full time Pharmacist to join our healthcare team in a pharmacy that has been serving the North Battleford area for over 70 years.

This position offers a fantastic opportunity for the right individual to grow into a management role.

The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and effective operation of the pharmacy with keen attention to patient care.

Applicants must be located in Canada and must hold a valid pharmacy licence in the province of Saskatchewan.

Duties

  • Review and interpret physician orders to ensure accuracy and appropriateness of prescribed medications.
  • Prepare and dispense medications in accordance with established protocols and regulations.
  • Provide patient counseling on medication usage, side effects, and interactions to promote adherence and safety.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to develop comprehensive medication plans tailored to individual patient needs.
  • Maintain accurate records of medication dispensing and inventory management to comply with legal requirements.
  • Educate patients and other staff on medical terminology related to medications, enhancing overall understanding of treatment plans.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing pharmacy services within the community.

Qualifications

  • Valid practicing pharmacy license in Saskatchewan
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectively about their medications.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and staying current with advancements in pharmacotherapy.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70.00-$90.00 per hour
