This job was a very bad experience 24 months I spent working here . It’s a toxic work environment manager is abusive . Good people work there but it’s a organization based on students or first jobs so the environment is not very professional . This goes being said with the management as well they lack in interest and developing good people . Not a safe working environment with covid .
Management is harrasing
Zero accountability, from anyone. If they can throw you under the bus for something, they will in a heartbeat.Nobody, at any level of this company, has any kind of organizational skills nor sense of direction without essentially having their hand held, no issues are ever dealt with (long term OR short term) and there's more excuses than solutions provided by management.Really, all upper and middle management cares about is fluffing investors' pockets and making sure their numbers look good, rather than catering to health and safety issues as well as operational issues I.e. months of not having straps for freight, despite them "being on order", trailers are never in proper working condition and sometimes there are even trailers that can't legally go down the road moved between service centers, and you will be expected to work around these problems rather than have them dealt with by your boss. They also have a horrible habit of hiring from outside the company, so don't expect any kind of career advancement here.
Good work environment, supportive coworkers
No room for advancement, lack of management, lack of accountability amongst the company
Great company... but tough if you're on the bottom. Great pay, but you definitely earn it. Stressful because you never know what's going on. Minimal training. Long shifts, variable. Hard on your home Life
Long hours. Variable shifts. Tough if you're at the bottom
Borderline abusive work environment! Unrealistic expectations and working hours. Very Toxic upper management. I have never seen leaders speak to employees the way they do at XPO in any industry. Good job for temporary employment, do not seek to make a career at XPO !!!
Abusive work environment and unrealistic goals.

If you want to be treated like ? XPO is the place for you. You will never be happy the company xpo will make sure you hate coming to work. Just trust me on this
Xpo will suck the life out of you in no time
I worked for XPO at a Richmond warehouse. There were seven people that had the same job title as me. Only three ever did any work. Others slept on the job, took their work boots off after three hours into their shift, and used so much bandwidth that the company got a huge Internet bill one month. When I complained that me and two other workers were doing the work of seven, it fell on deaf ears. When I said I needed my pay addressed to account for the fact that I actually performed labour and that set me apart from my other coworkers, it fell on deaf ears to. I would work for the company again but not at the same detachment.
Always up and down, either crazy busy or unpaid layover for weeks. You are property of the company. They can wake you in the night and ask to start driving in couple hours. If you refuse it will have consequences up to termination. Seniority is an idol. Senior drivers got all the best runs, schedules, equipment etc., when juniors have to suffer with the remains
Total pay check
Unpredictable schedule, stressful environment
xpo is a great place to work the management is very well the one that I work with. the pay is okay it could be better but it good base on how much vehicle you have in the company then you won't see the money if it one vehicle. they base you getting work off the app and score not good cause it your not understanding the app then you can't get work and no work mean you can't support your family and pay bill I disagree with that part
you have the opportunity to work with other companies, when working with XPO they say they have give incentive, but I think they look for reasons not to give you that incentive every week
they don't have work everyday there no job stability
At the corporate level, everything is well written on the wall, but in practice you don't expect to grow anywhere at XPO Logistics. They have only leaders, but they don't have leadership, knowledge, skills, problem solving skills and the communication model there is top down model. You can have ideas on what we can do better, 99.99% of the time, your manager says "I understand your point completely, but just follow what I and my boss told you to do, no question, don't be different". During 1 year period, there have been 5 managers coming in and going out, why? There is no work structure, everything depends solely on the lips of the top managers, one-way communication and interaction.
Not much work to do
No chance whatsoever to grow no matter how many decades you have worked there
With my time with this company, I have learned about Customs Import and Export paperwork process and Customer Service. I have also used by my existing skills from previous places of employment and my recent diploma from Louis Riel Arts Technology Centre. I have taken courses with this Company with their On Line XPO University Program. I enjoy working with the people and the different work Incentives the company offers. There is a lot to learn and room for advancement.
Reach Goals we receive coupons or lunch
Evening Shift and very busy office.
Very Good, It was a good company to work for. I enjoyed the environment. The job was comfortable working. I loved working with them. The employs were all helpful and they created no worries
Some times free lunch
Some times long hours
Looking for individuals who are there to work and not question anything else. Staff of over 20 employees were forced to use 2 barely functioning microwaves for their 30min lunch. This was done on purpose so employees pack a lunch that didnt require heating and can be consumed quickly so they go back on the floor as soon as possible. Company hires many immigrants who are afraid to ask questions and stick up for their rights as workers. Aside from the fast paced environment the pay is competitive and the work not too demanding, however you're moving non stop.
Just like any big corporations your just a number in the system that can be easily be replaced. Management only cares about numbers no matter how you do it. Even unsafe work is frowned upon if u don't do it. The attitude is we pay you so do it.
