Company spent more time and money so as the new employee can easily adopt the culture of company. Employees are been encourage to attend product presentation of various supplier and electrical equipment vendor to be updated on the latest technology.
WorleyParsons workplace is multi-cultural and this diversity enabled me to develop my people skills especially on challenging projects. Everyone is encouraged to be productive but at the same time balance your work-personal life activities. The hardest part of my job is when i have to maintain the quality of deliverables at the same time that compressed schedules have to be met. Having said that, it is always satisfying to deliver successfully and get congratulated every time for a job well done.
The most enjoyable and challenging part of the job is the field surveys. Visiting the project work location gives me an opportunity to have a close caption of the detail of the work at hand. A different environment from a design office.

Depending on the bussines unit you will face different kind of work. Personally, I enjoy the Improve units, these offices deal with (mostly) brownfield projects, it is usually interesting because you need to figure it out how to make changes or incorporate systems and equipment into running plants. The not so fun part is to dig for information when documentation is not organized, and drawings/documents need to be updated prior to the design process. It is great to see your design once it is installed and working in the field.
Flexible work schedule.
Company culture and philosophy were standard similar to other engineering firms. I progressed to learn more about electrical, especially in creating 3D drawings using AutoCAD and Navisworks reviewer. Good place to learn and grow professionally especially to a newly graduate. Having very typical co-workers as other engineering firms, helpful and approachable, and mostly were enjoyable to work with is a plus in the office.
met many friends, really safe oriented and lots of training for safety, and health oriented. projects will make you move all over and may end up being laid off!
