This company is entrenched in the old boys club mentality and let go of talented employees to ensure friends and family have job security. The middle management style and leadership is non existent and void of direction and basic leadership/mentoring ability.
would not recomend to anyone
hard to understand management some days, nobody seemed to care much about employees just get the work done to make them look good. Tell workers to rat out fellow workers. What a joke the job in Dawson was, management had their favorites. I was not one of them because I spoke my mind.
a chair in the lunch trailer
not telling workers of covid virus up dates, telling workers one thing but doing other things

Working in collaboration with multi-discipline engineering, reviewing policies/procedures related to procurement. Competitive bidding with approved manufactures on Syncrude listing of vendors. Tracking RFQ to PO to delivery to invoicing with daily report updating. Liason between client and vendors to ensure cost and schedules are met.
Good overall company to work for I worked there for 12 years never missed a day . Then things got slow and got laid off and no call back .
Fast paced work that I did i was very involved in the company from conversing with all divisions management , engineers , project managers , foreman , Forman , site management etc.
The working environment is a fair game as long as you do your assigned project and finished on schedule. Sometimes when you hit the cross-road, for instance your subordinates is not up to your expectations which tends to cause project timelines to slide, then you just keep on mentoring most of your times.
Enjoyed my time there, however there is the usual politics of a large company. Was not fully on boarded before sent to the job site which caused considerable frustration. Was told that's just the way it is here. They could do better at preparing people for the field.
Worley is a fun place to work. beside work you can engage in unit way fund raising activities, corporate challenges or even join the toastmasters club.
Friday is half day
M-T we work .5 hour loner.
A very fast passed. The work expected was somewhat unrealistic for the lack of fitting capabilities at the time. Being a pressure welder we where held to a very strict code. The fitting department was unable to meet our needs 60% of the time. They where just slamming it together without due care and attention to detail. We where expected to reach a certain amount of inches at the end day. They made it very difficult
A timely opportunity found on-line for a position that required next day on-site reporting due to an immediate opening. Enjoyed working and supporting the team's efforts in any way possible and gained valuable on-site experience; would welcome an opportunity to work with them again.
Excellent Senior Management Team. good pay and benefit. if you are good enough, job is as secure as government jobs. only problem is work and life balance. too much work. I feel like doing at least 2 persons work since oil sands downturn. feel exhausted at end of the day.
This company is a joke. They treat you like you work for a communists country. Worst company i have ever worked for. They have no concern of you family life outside of work. Ppl go through things and if a co apny cant support it then whats the point. Stay away from this company if you want a horrible day. Prob get there owners to give them good review so they sound good
