A manager did not like me and made it quite clear until he had me dismissed my opinion was he was scared that i wanted his job, Calgary and Pasadena in California was totally different and much more pleasant. Enjoyable place to work.

Before being acquired by Worley, Colt Engineering (the company who hired me) was the center of excellence for pipeline engineering, with a great corporate culture, and outstanding people. After the acquisition, processes became cumbersome, communication became challenging, management became inaccessible, and trust starts to dissipate.

I prefer not to rate this company any further than I have done above. I think the company needs to improve on systems and vision and care less about the bottom line and billability.

Worley has good benefit packages . Some good professionals who are great support. Company has a solid structure and reputation within EPCM in Alberta.

Over all work environment are enjoyable. Company employees are easy to communicate with and enjoyable. The only things that is not changing is change. Continues changes gives lots of additional tasks for us to grabs and to learn and improve ones self.

Company culture and morale is at its lowest. Management will not take any type of input from anyone, company has blinders on and will not change. Workshare is a problem for all departments, local work is scarce. They don’t really care about us the employees, you work hard and hope for the best.

I spent a fair bit of my work experience at this company and I have seen it all. Poor management and lack of leaders; Unfair work load shared only between certain individuals; Favouritism; Unhappy employees; Toxic environment; Poor pay again based on favouritism. The good things are flexible work hours and very knowledgeable senior staff.

Great place to work because of the people. Upper management are unable to accept change from experiences that companies have gone through. No job security since work is no longer done in the city as it is sent to other overseas offices. Much better to work with smaller engineering firms as they keep work within the city.

All the good people have left The culture has completely changed they make promises they cannot keep and are quickly willing to throw people under the bus

When they recruit you, the company goes over the top for your services. Hoping for the best, you get mislead that projects are lined up so company moral is up. Once the project ends, your services are no longer needed. They favour more Worley employees then the other. Mismanaged, low moral, management easily throws you under the bus when mistakes happen. Poor company!

Company culture encourages flexible work hours for employees who need to do so due to family reasons. Most of the people are easy to talk to. Managers often talks to people.

Need to get to work before 8 AM everyday. Leave after 5 PM. Match your work to suit your client demands. Due to the ever changing demands of my client and team manager, I have to learn and evolve my work everyday. Management is easy to communicate with. They are always willing to talk and help you if required. The work culture is fun. People enjoy their work and their communicate with their co-workers openly. Makes you feel like your are working with an extended family. But sometimes particular managers (very few) put heavy work loads on their team. This is sometimes without any overtime. These rare situations put the team under extreme stress. Except for these situations, the workplace culture in healthy. The hardest part of the job is to match the client's everchanging demands. The most enjoyable part of my job is working with a great team that helps each other and openly communicates with each other. Working with this team is the best part of my job.
