$14.70 day shift with $0.40 premium for afternoon and $0.80 for midnight. When applying on here, job posting stated $15.50 to start, with $2.00 premium for midnight shift. Lots of confusion and false info from the beginning of the hiring process. The expected speed to do certain jobs is just unrealistic for the pay wage. The amount of stress placed on your neck, back, shoulders, and legs is just silly for the salary. 1 year of employment starting Jan 1 before you can get vacation days - expectation of no sick days/call ins. Just not a great place to work. You will physically destroy yourself for chump change

Not a fun place

Great place to lean divide a rule politics and heaven for Indian national. No job security, no information sharing among colleagues, managers and directors use team mates against each other and created a losing job fear factor. Qualified, experienced and long serving employees are either demoralized or terminated and are replaced with unqualified persons to keep better control. Local Canadian candidates are ignored, unqualified or relatives are being hired directly from India, surprisingly HR is also supporting this type of strategy. Favoritism is at its peak.

Fun place to work at except for when you get laid off and called back after a month , sometimes a year or two.

Make sure to have a back up job. You are just a number working for this company.When you have a family to feed and bills to pay this may not be x company you want to work for because they lay you off and then call you back losing so much money

Be very careful, eyes wide open

Getting along with the Union was a never ending battle, having workers cooperate and make things move forward was quickly destroyed by unorthodox union chair. Union execs were very vocal about who ran the ship and how they were ultimately in control.
Scheduling doesn't understand the term "Preventative Maintenance" so it was usually run to fail.
Unrealistic budgets with out logic no money for parts buts ton's of money contractors?
Utilise internal labour to reduce contractors to increase budget-"Not allowed" follow the budget!!!

Its a broken system here, the human resources department is 100 percent unorganized. they claim to reward you when you give a suggestion to change the floor and make it better but most times then most they just use the ideas for themselves.

Woodbridge Foam has provided me with dependable employment since I have started with the company. It offers me a place to work free from judgement. I've grown as a person since I first began working there. Woodbridge has allowed me to take it upon myself to become a better worker by learning new jobs within the company. I have developed greater team-building skills since I have been at the company, and try to use them every day.

There were plenty of challenges within the work environment and there was always a problem that could be solved in an innovative way. Managers were very friendly. Union workers could be a challenge to work with or very helpful.

It was a great place to start at a factory job for the first time. Once you got into the union, it was okay. I worked all 3 shifts, mostly midnights, and got to know all the people. Good wages and benefits up until the massive lay off and closure.

A typical day starts with the meeting with process manager to discuss about the modification of current manufaturing processes and about the status on ongoing projects. In addition, we explore vairous ways to design processes for new products and packaging standards.

Learned tool and fixture designs, APQP process,basic troubleshooting of hydraulic and pneumatic systems, the trend of pressure and temperature of steam and cold water affect the products, how to handle the process and manufacturing department in the absence of the manager and supervisor, and what the different automotive companies' requirements are.

Management is always eager to help and push me to achieve my goals. I have given freedom to scheduale and run manufactuing trials for new products.

All the co-workers are very friendly and willing to guide me in right direction.

The hardest part of the job was to deal with machine operators and packers in the absence of the manager and supervisor. but eventually I learned the way to work with them and fulfilled the requirements.

The most enjoyable part of the job was to run the manufacturing lines during lunch time, came up with different ideas to make the lives of operators and packers easy, and reduced cycle time and scrap.
