Do not apply here - unethical
Candidate (Ancien employé) –  Hamilton28 février 2017
This is not an ethical organization.

They try to lure people in by setting up interviews with high volumes of candidates.

They misrepresent their positions as customer service when in fact it is solely a sales position.

Extremely high turnover.

This is only for the desperate.

Shady, demanding, dishonst, and exhausting
Water Quality Advisor (Ancien employé) –  Hamilton, ON21 août 2016
First of all, this company used to go by "Eagle Water Ontario" but most likely switched to "Wise Water International" in order to get rid of their bad reputation. Unfortunately, the business practices are the exact same.

They obtain "appointments with customers" by putting cheap, scummy "scratch tickets" in random mailboxes which people will then complete and call the number on the ticket believing that they can then claim for a prize (usually it'll be something like an Xbox 360). Obviously, they don't really get this prize unless they shell out thousands of dollars for an overpriced water filtration system which they can get for cheaper elsewhere if they wanted to. Your job is to go to these "appointments" in their homes and test their water and push sales onto them (basically making them feel like their water is bad when actually, the majority of water in Ontario is pretty good). The company barely interviews people for the job, because they're really just looking for people who are naive enough to believe that they'll make loads of money just by simply testing water. In reality, you push sales onto people who aren't even interested or understand why you're there, but you'll find that you really need to do this so that you can actually make a profit, despite the seemingly high wage and bonuses. They offer $17 or so per hour, paying you for 2 hours of work for each sale that you do, with $200 for each sale you make (and remember that the things you're trying to sell out-of-the-blue to people are costing the customers thousands of dollars, so it's incredibly hard trying
plus... to convince someone to buy it). You could be doing a total of three hours of driving to get to the town you need to go to, and then you may take two or three hours to finish your appointment. Considering this, it's actually negative pay.

If you didn't need to drive longer than an hour in total, and the appointments could somehow only last one hour, then it might be worth it. The fact is, though, that there simply aren't enough homes in whichever town you're from that you could go to, forcing you to travel pretty far. My advice to anyone going into a job with this company is either to a) just don't bother wasting your time, or b) keep a very close eye on how you're actually treated by everyone, account for all of your expenses, and don't let yourself get pushed around.

Sales Representative/Trainer (Employé actuel) –  Hamilton, ON7 juin 2016
I love working at WWI. The people are great, the training is second to none and the compensation is spectacular.

The positivity that flows through that place is contagious. They treat you like family and are there for you no matter what happens in your life.

Great management and awesome team members
