Bonne entreprise, salaire pourrait être plus élevé vu le stress qu'il y a pour l'exactitude des renseignements et aussi le fait de faire affaire à des clients qui ne sont pas compréhensifs.

After years of working for WestJet I learned the hard way that it is a typical corporation who cares only about profit and not for its employees. Hard work doesn't pay off here.

I was only at WJ a few months before Covid-19 caused major changes to the airline. However, the thorough training provided me with the knowledge and confidence that I needed to preform my job well. If there was a situation where I needed assistance, my coworkers/management team were always there for guidance and support. The atmosphere was relaxed, friendly and tremendously supportive. I would highly recommend WJ to anyone.

Best job I've ever had in terms of atmosphere, and environment. Working around planes is awesome and makes every day exciting. Days go fast.
Pay sucks starting out especially considering the amount of flaming hoops you have to jump through to secure your job. A driving test that puts your class 5 to shame. Takes about 90 mins. 6+ exams, if you fail any of them twice your let go. Benefits are amazing but you don't make enough to use your flight benefits mostly everyone i knew had a second job.

A typical day at wok is easy because its routine and assigned on a daily basis. Workplace are multicultured and diversified. MAnagement are very easy and easy to approach and they appreciate your work everyday. The most enjoyable part are the flight benefits and benefits are awesome. The hardest part when passengers shout on you and rude. I though I will be retiring at WEstjet it's my dream job but because of pandemic most of us had been lay off because Airline industry are down.

My experience got me the interview. My personality got me the job. But that’s just the start. The 2 months of training is what really does it. It’s stressful, intense and not everyone makes it through. Some leave because of scheduling, some don’t pass the exams, some just find it too hard. I almost quit before I finished but my teacher and class mates supported and encourage me to continue. I’m glad I didn’t give up.
This company puts their money where their mouth is. There is no reason to be afraid as there is plenty of support. They will give you extra training if you feel you need it. If you want to stay in touch with you coworkers you can. They pay is a little lower at the start but the benefits make up for it.

I feel honoured to be counted among the nicest people in the country because that’s who they hire.

Great place to work from day one!
Unfortunately due to the recent turn in events with COVID-19 and mass lay offs, it is difficult to stay employed.

If it weren’t for this, I would still be working there.

WestJet Company culture is great and everyone feels as a part of the company. Great benefit especially flying perks. However income is not great. If you enjoy travelling then it is a great company to work for.

Shift bidding allows you to work the shift that best suits you and Vacation is fairly administered using a bidding process based on points earned as a result of seniority. This job requires that you take inbound calls from your home, answer questions regarding travel, airline, airport and security guidelines and complete, cancel and modify guest bookings. The most challenging aspect to the job was having to re-accommodate guests when their flights had been negatively impacted due to cancellations or schedule changes. Policies and procedure were often changing making it confusing to understand the proper guidelines and procedures. There is a Quality Program in place to ensure that if an agent struggles with a policy or procedure, quality sessions with Support Specialists can be arranged. The equipment provided was dated and often problematic, causing awkward, frustrating technical glitches when you were in the middle of a booking with a guest. Overall, more pros than cons. A great company to work for if customer service is your forte and travelling is your passion.

Worked here as a guest service ambassador, responsible for assisting guest who requires special assistance. Westjet culture is the best, we were thought to be more of a people-person but at the same time we have to follow airline regulations.

I wouldn’t recommend working here to my worst enemy. Promotions are given to who management is friends with over merit, they have alliances that stick together and fire people who go against them.
I witnessed many women speak out about harassment and have it fall on deaf ears and have their careers limited after that.

Toxic, bullying, harassing environment. Run!

My experience with WestJet is rewarding as well as emotional. I’ve been with the company almost 4 years and love the culture this company represents and repeatedly displays. Employees become family with respect and encouragement consistently provided. Due to COVID-19 the airline industry has been affected drastically but hopefully will recover in time.

Wasn't the worse job I worked for, salary needed major improvement for the amount of work being done. Was able to work from home so that was great for me. IT was difficult to advance as there wasn't as many job opportunity in Moncton as there is Calgary.

Alright company but wage sucks can't really live off of 12 dollars a hour, not only that have over 18 years experience in aviation and got paid the same as someone green....

You will never have another job like it. Flying city to city country to country. Meeting and working with new people every time you fly. Seeing sites you never would have had otherwise.

Must be able to embrace chaos while maintaining company and guest expectation.

Learning to sleep on command as you bounce through time zones is a difficult adjustment.
