Avis d'employé sur WestJet Airlines
Not the same company anymore
It's harder to advance from within the company than should be. No support from management anymore, just discipline. No encouragement. Not cutting the fat where they need to. Front line employees getting the shaft for all the hard work. Too many middle management. About as bad as AC just before their last bankruptcy.

When I got hired, WestJet was receiving 1700 resumes a week, so it felt like winning the lottery! The company prefers to hire people recommended by WestJetters, because they're usually a great WestJet fit. But, if you have a great personality, and extraordinary customer service and/or aviation industry skills and knowledge, you're likely to get hired. They're incredibly supportive of their people, and do their very best to train, retain, and give them the tools and empowerment they need to do their job well. They do a great job of hiring and I always felt like I was working with my tribe, a family of like-minded, fun, great team players.
FLIGHT BENEFITS!!! Great health and dental benefits, fair pay, good adventures, managerial support, good training, wonderful team- playing.
Working and sleeping in so many different time zones, always being tired, sleeping on different beds/ bedding all the time, how hard constant de/pressurization is on the body, very physically demanding work, and dealing with challenging guests
Worked for WestJet for 14 years and loved everyday of it. Management was great and coworkers were awesome. Shift was perfect for me ( strictly nights ), vacation time was adequate. Flights benefits were terrific. I really do miss working there
