I was only at WJ a few months before Covid-19 caused major changes to the airline. However, the thorough training provided me with the knowledge and confidence that I needed to preform my job well. If there was a situation where I needed assistance, my coworkers/management team were always there for guidance and support. The atmosphere was relaxed, friendly and tremendously supportive. I would highly recommend WJ to anyone.

My experience got me the interview. My personality got me the job. But that’s just the start. The 2 months of training is what really does it. It’s stressful, intense and not everyone makes it through. Some leave because of scheduling, some don’t pass the exams, some just find it too hard. I almost quit before I finished but my teacher and class mates supported and encourage me to continue. I’m glad I didn’t give up.
This company puts their money where their mouth is. There is no reason to be afraid as there is plenty of support. They will give you extra training if you feel you need it. If you want to stay in touch with you coworkers you can. They pay is a little lower at the start but the benefits make up for it.

I feel honoured to be counted among the nicest people in the country because that’s who they hire.

Everyone speaks culture, culture, culture. People who have been at the company for years basically make their way through the ranks even if not qualified. It's a "good old boys" club culture. All the buddies remain when things get tough and all the good get thrown out even if it means that the skills go with them. Works out well for Air Canada I guess as most who have experienced the bumping are gladly picked up by Air Canada.
