A fun place to work and great people to be around. Working at la senza provided me with the advancement in my skills of working with and helping everyone I come into contact with.

It was great working at the waterpark. breaks were paid and long and the employees were also amazing. I made many friends working at the waterpark. wouldn't change much.
long breaks, paid breaks, fun
very hot, very humid.
The work was repetitive as to be expected, but the job did not allow for growth or room to learn more. Work hours were either cut short or cancelled last minute.
More sales experience
An unreasonable management team that care more about defending guests than there employees. Job has perks and is a job with lots of young people which is great for a first time job.
-very fast paced -few breaks -promotes unity -can get to the point where you might miss breaks but if you ask for one they will give you one -on certain days staff maybe short so breaks may come late or not at all
- Go through apparel and make sure it's organized, tagged with the security sensors, assist customers and provide customer service. - Stay attentive and give them a reason to come back. - Management is very understanding with school schedule and being able to work around it. - I'm not too sure if there was anything hard about the job. - The most enjoyable part of the job was giving an experience with customers and having such a great group of employees to work with..
Great experience with the team
There is rarely a typical day at work. You will go in and not know what to expect. All you know is what ride color you are assigned to and when you are scheduled to start and end, which generally depending on whether it's low or high season, will be the entire time that the park is open. Even when you are assigned to the color, if you know and are certified in more than one color, you are likely to be moved elsewhere if needed. So your day starts off with roll call and then ride assignments. You go to your ride and do all of the safety checks to make sure that it's all good to go before you can load the ride with actual guests including a test run. And then you load, do all of the safety checks and try to include your engagement with the guests. Run the ride, standing in the same spot for the entire ride length. You are supposed to just watch the ride, but often the next riders waiting in line will ask you "How long is the ride?" or "How much longer?" When it's literally been only been 30 seconds since the run started. And once it's finished you unload and clear the ride area. And just do it all over again every time there's a guest. Until the end of the day occasionally doing a little bit of clean up when you have downtime. And it all differs depending on what ride you are on. Oh, and there are also bumps, which means you go on your break and then go to a different ride sending them on their break and so forth until you reach the end of the break sheet which the breaker takes back to Operations. I've gained more customer service skills, and also patience. I feel like - plus...
Understanding Supervisors, Your Coworkers are like family, You don't have to clean up any spills
Long Hours, Low Pay, Stressful, Staying in the same uncomfortable position for several minutes
You and your co-workers will revel about your adventures. Management are arguably qualified in one field yet are trusted implicitly to manage many wide ranging and unrelated departments. If you are one of the lucky majority you will have such an interesting work environment. What I learned is management is always happy to be available to listen to you when you are finally able to reach them between meetings. You will undoubtedly be happy to reach them too. If the idea will make them look better they will be happy to give the credit to themselves.
free attraction passes
Management focus is on their shrinking budget
I worked at the waterpark for almost 3 years and loved it! It's a great chill atmosphere and I made good friends from there! The hours were good and it was a job you actually enjoyed going to, Sometimes I miss it! It was always something different depending who was working and where you were put.
Cool uniform, good work/life balance
West Edmonton Mall is customer driven place. They are dependent on the customers coming to the mall, and as such require that all staff are customer service driven as well. The culture at times forgets that the employees are what make the mall and the attractions run. On a typical night we would run into drunk people, young adults who want to have fun are not responsible and while we have an on site Security team we do not always have a presence with them in our location, and can feel that we are the forgotten area of the attractions.
free bowling, and passes for the attractions
working long nights with little support from upper mall mangaement
