My co-workers are great, the work itself is not terrible. That atmosphere is usually fairly relaxed. The people from management that I deal with are decent. Pay is low, and benefit rate seems high for single person. Not sure about advancement.
Don't be fooled by the friendly smiles and pethatic "Treat days" and false promises of a profit share. This company under pays all their employees, you'll never get a raise regardless of your position (Confirmed by former and current employees who've been with the company for 5 - 10+ Years), no profit share (Also confirmed by one of their 10+ year employees) safety is a joke and things only get taken care of after several people get hurt. The work is insanely boring too so if you like being a mindless robot have your fill. This company hires 90 percent immigrants because it knows it can get away with paying garbage wages with them. Its pathetic. Steer clear there's way better opportunities out there especially if you have experience and skills

Get hired to one shift, and get bumped down to another. Get told one thing and have another happen. Basically don't expect any flexibility. Expect to have to do 3 people's jobs on 1 persons wage. But don't expect a wage increase. Also don't expect parking for employees to be available. Instead; expect to be threatened with being towed if you park in the "guest" sspoemptsitsemptemptymost every
I like to work at Wesgar as everyday is completely different. There are always challenges and creativity needs to be used to be competitive and efficient. It is a privilege to work and learn from upper management. Time to time you can feel the adrenaline but you are surrounded of great people who has been with the company for many years and certainly willing to assist you the best they can. There is always room for improvement and managers welcome any suggestions you may have. Wesgar is well known in the industry for its quality, so you can learn the craft from some of the best people!
Not a lot of options if you take public transit.
Overall a great place to work. Despite some of the negative reviews, there is a lot of room for advancement here, but it's up to you to work at it and prove your value to the company. If you have no prior experience, you can't expect to start at the top. There are a lot of different things to learn here, and a large variety of product being manufactured here. The phasing-in of automated equipment and robotics means that things are always changing and always interesting. The work environment is fast-paced and the work is often challenging, but at the same time it's a pretty relaxed workplace.
Management usually tries to accommodate employees' schedules
Management is often too lenient with regards to enforcing policies or procedures
This is a good place to work. I get along well with my team. Have definitely learned a lot since I started here. Every day is a new challenge and I enjoy coming to work. We recently celebrated Pink Shirt day at work and organized a bake sale.
If you want to work for a corporation that cares NOTHING about it's employee's and pays them as such ....Fill your boots. There are far better paying jobs out there . Wesgar Inc. treats it's employee's like %@# ^$#@@%
Impossible to get fired.

10 years in this company and wasn't able to earn a "living wage" for vancouver living status. management wants the company to grow but it is simply not possible with the wages they are paying. Do not waste your time here. There are much better opportunities out there without post secondary education.
