Working at wendys i met alot of new people got to know some of the regular customers. The crew was fun and hard working the store manger always strived for success and to bring a whole new meaning to fast food but the assistant store manger gossips about other employees writes people up for the things you hear from a regular disgruntled employee or a joke or two but if you make a joke he goes out of his way to make you suffer.. i got fired for doing my job and still having fun to keep up the mood of the employees while still maintaining our goals. He twists words and singles you out if he doesn’t like you same with the owner i have heard him say some pretty nasty things i.e are you re*****d and yes i am i have mild autism and adhd. Overall crew is amazing management needs a reality check except the store and general manager

I worked there for over a year, striving for greatness, impressing the managers, and pushed myself to work the hardest I could. But unfortunately I was not rewarded for my work, and was refused any kind of pay raise for my dedication. This lead me down a road filled with stress. Many of my coworkers including myself are in search of new jobs because of poor training skills and lack of care for employees. The restaurant could improve by hiring more people, but this is hard because of the poor turnover rate.

First, they don't do their jobs properly. never had a raise despite of having to work there for more than 8 years. To think that I'm getting paid the same as the new people. Managers are so lazy and I end up helping everyone. Managers are absolutely garbage. They have managers who talk bad about their employees. They have no respect. Acting like they know better than everyone but in reality they just pass on the work to us. I hate to think that I work so much more than everyone yet I don't get the recognition I deserved. These people know how I work and they're too dependent on me now. And if someone does poorly on their job, I'm always the one getting blamed. These people will ask you to do something for them at multiple times at the same time and they get mad if you can't do one of them. The new people that are getting hired doesn't really help at all. They're all slow and despite of working more than a couple months already, they still don't know what they're Doin and I end up helping

I trained at Wendy's on Lundy's Lane but worked at the restaurant on Clifton Hill when it first opened - so we're going back a couple decades (plus). Nonetheless, I really enjoyed working there. The crew was great, management was great. Awesome place for a teen to gain experience, learn about teamwork, and make some money. I'm sure there's room for advancement if you stay long enough.

The customers were great for the most part.... the other staff amazing... management were horrible, they were constantly unorganized and really mean about it. The schedule was never out with more then 2 days notice (Saturday night for that monday), we weren't allowed to have a life.... but worst of all I was fired because of complications with covid-19

No diversity or focus on improving culture. Only manager level and down represented by BIPOC at Cdn head quarters. Incredible scrutiny, ongoing pressure and environment of criticism. Dictators in lead positions with direct reports fearful of speaking up. Support and recognition is non existent. No room for advancement coupled with favouritism and nepotism related to any available opportunities.

I can't believe I even tried to work here. The management clearly didn't take a liking to me and made sure to let me know of it on a daily basis. They gave shifts to me which I had told them I couldn't be working and they kept me a half hour to an hour past my shifts even the ones I shouldn't have been working in the first place. They clearly had favorites and they would get the good jobs whereas the people they didn't like got the nasty jobs. They had me doing certain jobs alone even when it was busy. I seriously don't recommend working here.

It’s was very good experience to work at Wendy’s I started as cashier and within a year I became supervisor moving toward assistant Manager I am so happy to work there honestly, get lots of experience ,feedback how to dress problems or issue from customers and employees I cannot continue with the company because I’m looking for better future and more suitable for my education

I was hired at the Wendy's in mission (in the junction) and At first I was hopeful to work there, but slowly my excitement went down as I saw the condition of the workplace. they started me off with online training at the wendys establishment, then once I learned how to make fries they started giving me shifts, my training was basically stopped there and then, and whenever I would ask about it they would say things like "we'll resume that in the future" or "we'll get to it later". My hours and shifts became more sparse, often 3 hours at once, every 2 weeks. almost all of those shifts have come from me prompting them. It almost feels like I was hired on accident.

This is not good place to work .No communication between coworkers , no room for advancement, no one cares to train new employees. You are left on your own to figure out everything and they except you to know EVERYTHING with ZERO training. NO work culture. It is basically little India international student rule there.

I highly recommended this company. Stress free and people are very well trained, friendly and helpful and I must say that they have a good system and you will not feel that you are not welcome. So happy to be hired by this company.

Untrained managers and understaffed. Thankless. Expected to work for free as they conveniently round hours back. Expect to be mistreated and put down. No raises ever no matter how long you have worked there. Training is all done via computer (if there is time) then immediatly throw you in position without further guidance.

I worked there for a long time, left about a year and a half ago. Only two good managers and a ton of bull involved, only got negative feedback, honestly the grimsby location is a mess When I worked there time off was never respected, the availability forms were totally neglected, and the store is all about favourites. Leaving that place was the best decision I ever made. Everything was fine before the current General manager.

constantly understaffed so the workers they do have get away with anything including bullying in the work place and laziness, you are overworked constantly, management dont care at all about staff, my father was very sick and i was told to keep smiling and not let the customers see how upset i was, we were promised raises and they never came, food was only 50 percent off no free meals for staff, constant background noise and beeping which drives you insane, they allow people to constantly walk out on shifts or be late with little to no consequences. i worked the night shift for 8 months and we would sometimes be there 2 to 3 hours after closing just catching up on cleaning.

There were many ups and down but all and all I dont regret my time there, sometimes I even find myself wanting to go back. However this place is a stepping stone to move up,
