Lunch and dinner rushes were the very exhausting and extremely fast paced. Having good coworkers who help out and pick up the slack is so important! Shifts with great co-workers and supervisors were fun and made the job easier...on the other hand, co-workers who loved to delegate with strict supervisors made the hours seem longer. So long as you get along with co-workers and management and they are always willing to help out (especially when busy) Wendy's a great place to work! Flexible hours, they understand the difficulties of students working and don't make it difficult for you.
A typical day consisted of taking orders, exchanging money, delivering orders, cleaning/upkeep of the dinning room and restrooms. Management for the most part was very rude and was certainly the hardest part of the job. I learned valuable customer service and time management skills.
I worked at wendys for a year which means that it was not THAT bad, of course there are a lot of bad stuff in this job but it is like that with all jobs involving food, there will always be complaints no matter how good you are at the job.
The typical day would be prepping orders, taking out garbage, serving customers I learned cashier skills, people skills, time management Everyone was welcoming Getting the hand of the register Leaving the customer with a great experience

There wasn't room for work life balance that is why I left. I wanted to start college and they were unwilling to accommodate me two nights a week. I worked nights to help them for two months after I handed in my resignation and got no appreciation at all. The Owners were selfish and didn't follow through on promises.
Wendys hasn't been pushing me to my full potential and I would like to go somewhere that does, but it is a great first job! You learn more everyday and enhance your communication skills for the real world.

worked as a Cashier Learned useful skills including customer service, cashiering, cleaning up after close, discipline, follow instructions, ambitious and outgoing. The hardest part of the job is when it's get every busy and the sandwich maker get let to prepare the food, people will get angry on who works as cashier . The most enjoyable part of the job is to meet new people every day.
Wendy's was a wonderful place to gain work experience, and develop skills that are critical in a workplace. Staff is friendly and strives to work as a team in order to maintain effective service and to solve problems. Not much to say; Wendy's was a very well-rounded place to work, and a fantastic place to be a part of.
50% off meals
Rarely, but difficult to negotiate working days
I worked there as a cook for a short period of time. It was not very rewarding except that I met great people. I would like to point out, that the GM was kind enough to allow me to learn enough before my departure.
Great people and kind GM
Far from home, dirty and late night closings
Work started off with me being thrown into thick of orders and customer complaints. For the most part I did not enjoy the craziness that followed when a line of customers came and then the stifling boredom that followed once there were no customers. It also sucked that while my co-workers were nice, I couldn't relate to the majority of them and just found their conversations boring. The only part I enjoyed was washing the dishes. That was it.
Boring slow hours, no free lunches.
When I started there the management was great, but eventually changed and was in a very long period of flux which made it hard to get any consistency. I was called on my days off regularly to come in and fill in for someone, to the point where I would stop answering my phone.
Called in on days off
I worked well at this location the fellow employees were hard working and enjoyable company and the management was attentive to the needs of the staff. I enjoyed the opportunity.
Food discount, small eating space, comfortable clients
Wendy's is my first part-time job and I don't mind it at all. I've learned to multi-task and perform in a fast-paced environment and I've gained excellent customer service. My co-workers are nice and fun to work with and who know how to work as a team and management is not bad, but could be better. I enjoy employee discounts and dislike closing shifts.
