The people at Weir are all very nice. The working environment is very good when things are going well. Every company has ups and downs depending on the market, however, in the 6 years that I have been with Weir, they've had about 6 waves of layoffs, and overall, it's the most unstable place that I've worked. The morale in this company is lower than anywhere I've been. The Management team have no clue what they're doing and have literally driven this 100 year old company into the ground. I'm happy to be gone, and now working for a more stable organization. Don't waste your time applying for a job here.
Very friendly staff. Work hours are reasonable. Salary is competitive.
Unstable/ Constant layoffs. Terrible management/ backstabbing. No loyalty to staff. There one day, gone the next.

This company treats you terribly. The safety protocols are inadequate and there is a lot of exposure to toxic chemicals. The management team I found difficult to work with and the co workers were sabotaging and petty.
