The wages and benefits are decent. Fair amount of variety. Management likes to undermine employees. Management openly complains about past and present employees. Complaints and suggestions are very rarely listened to. Very high safety standards until it interferes with profit margins. Technicians all get along great, and have a team environment. Very little room to advance your career.
I have been away from Wajax for some time now and my opinion of it hasn't changed. As a company it isn't to bad. It has good benefits, resonable pay and holidays; however, the branch I worked at had a very stressful work atmosphere. Micro managment was an understatement. Most of the time I had 3 bosses with different opinions telling me what to do and how to do it. High stress.
Used to be an envied place to work specializing in Detroit engines and Allison transmissions, now it’s just a place that treats you like garbage. Some Contractors refuse to work for them, employees are treated like disposable gloves and management is clueless and rude. It is disheartening to see a company I used to like working for get so bad and treat people so terribly. Absolutely disgusting. I definitely don’t recommend this employer to anyone.
