Once the best place to be but not anymore
Apprentice Truck and Transport Technician (Ancien employé) –  Edmonton, AB3 octobre 2018
I always dreamed of working here, I was finally able to and I apprenticed here. Once it was known for the best training around, now its a terrible place for training. Its owned publicly and all that matters is share holders. It was a union shop when I was there but it didn't protect you from the wrath of horrendous management.
Points positifs
large engine opportunities
Points négatifs
horrific management, not utilizing highly skilled journeyman to properly train

Terrible Atmosphere, Management is Terrible
Parts Technician (Employé actuel) –  Edmonton, AB12 juillet 2018
Everyone is unhappy and hates coming to work. Branch Manager is a micro manager and has no people skills. Moral is so low and company/management make it worse. Management will just run you around and never provide a clear message. Smoke and Mirrors. Potential to be a great company but would have to get rid of all upper management.

Wajax is a great company to work for. Full of great people and the work culture is very easy. Open door policy which you're not afraid to take advantage of when needed.

Well it was okay
Material Handler (Ancien employé) –  Edmonton, AB27 janvier 2017
It is hard to say as I was only employed for 2-3 months. There were a few things that I didn ' t care for much. It seemed to me to be somewhat of a confusing environment both with the people and the warehouse organization. Support when required seemed to hard to get. Didn't real feel that I would be able to advance and then due to a bout with Cancer the warehouse manager took no time at all in relieving me of my position. Although there were some enjoyable days overall it was hard to get excited about.
Points positifs
Having my own work space and a exceptional supply of great Coffee and tea

Poor morale
Mechanic (Employé actuel) –  Edmonton, AB25 janvier 2017
Not a great place to work. The morale is in the toilet. In the transition to become One Wajax they got rid of most of the only decent management they had. This company expects everything 110% from you and gives you nothing in return.

Warning restructuring in progress
Financial Analyst (Employé actuel) –  Edmonton, AB16 juillet 2016
Three divisions will now be one. Support departments not on the Equipment division are being desimated. Very poor communication of who has a job or not. But pretty easy to tell since the overtaking Equipmet division members are only communicating with certain members.
No salary increases due to the economy. But let's add more layers of management with the restructure.

material handling division manager is a DB that like to wright people up for BS resons.
SERVICE TECHNICIAN (Employé actuel) –  Edmonton, AB5 décembre 2015
management expects techs to make no mistakes and take all the blame for other peoples screw ups.
I was told that it was run with a mom and pop feel to the way they operate, but that lasted till the first time I opened my mouth at a safety meeting. The Forman are ok and other techs are decent to work with, but the manager seems to always be looking to get techs sweating about their jobs. no fun when you are worried about what the next thing the manager is going to drag you in to his office for.

good benifits
