Hypocrite manager
Bus Driver (Ancien employé) –  Carp rd, ottawa24 août 2019
This company is a cheat. The manager is a green snake under green grass, smiles at you but never keeps promises. Under pays in the pretense of later review and update which never happens.

Constant staff shortages, and low wages for the responsabilities.
Full Time City Bus Driver (Ancien employé) –  St. Thomas, ON6 septembre 2018
Low wages using dilapidated equipment owned by the city of Saint Thomas. Busses are noisy and in constant disrepair, not so much the fault of Voyageur but the City. Airport shuttle type vehicles on worn out streets.

Best Job I Ever Had
Ambulance Attendant (Ancien employé) –  Toronto, ON29 août 2018
I worked as an Ambulance Attendant for several years. It was definitely life changing. What I loved most is you never knew how your day was going to go. It could be amazing or horrible. But I enjoyed that variable. Not much of it was due to the company itself but the patients. The only downside from a workplace side is that there is no real 'quitting time'. This job would be incredibly difficult with children in daycare/school as there were times I was stuck 2-3 hrs in offload delay past when my shift was supposed to end.
Points positifs
Great coworkers and staff. Exciting, constantly changing environment
Points négatifs
Long, unpredictable hours. Heavy lifting. Exposure to illness/contaminents

It's All About The Money
School Bus Driver (Ancien employé) –  York Region3 mai 2018
It's All About The Money. That is the money they get to keep at your expense. My experience taught me they are liars, cheats, don't pay for hours worked, and pay $4.00 per hour less that other School Bus Operators. And by the way, they care nothing about you as a driver.
Points positifs
I know of none!
Points négatifs
Lie, Under Pay, Cheat and use everyone! Care Nothing About Drivers

Great place for starting a Driving Career
Driver (Ancien employé) –  London, ON25 janvier 2018
Voyageur is a great company to help get someone on the road in their driving career. They look primarily at you and what your abilities are, and what they can help you achieve. Many companies are afraid to hire drivers around/under 25 years old, and that it not the case here. The workplace is generally fun, and comforting. Your dispatcher and direct supervisors are always very nice and helpful, and will typically give you their direct numbers so you can get assistance with unexpected issues when needed. The support team from Maitenance staff, to Trainers is amazing, and there are many opportunities to move within the company through its different divisions.

The compensation was great, until the minimum wage hike moved everything to the 14/15 an hour mark. Unfortunately some of the multi year contracts for services didn’t plan for a quick jump/spike in operational costs, and many positions are still what they were before the minimum wage increase which makes many people feel a little sour towards the topic (ie. drivers who were paid 14 before the increase, are still paid 14 now).

Overall, Voyageur is a fairly good employer with lots of opportunities for persons of all age to start their career in commercial passenger transportation.
Points positifs
Free License Upgrades, Non-Age Discriminatory, Good support network, Flexibility for scheduling
Points négatifs
Lower compensation, Potential for long days (commercial driver max of 14), Often late nights/weekends

Not worth it
Patient Transfer Attendant (Ancien employé) –  Hamilton, ON12 janvier 2018
I really enjoyed working for Voyageur at first. It’s a great job to get patient contact experience and you meet some great people and learn a lot about health conditions. Great hands on for paramedic students. The patient care is what kept me there for so long. Eventually injuries sustained, treatment from supervisors, and the outsourcing of patient transfer to subcontractors made it not worth staying. It is very hard on your body and many times you will end up lifting more than the required 250lb patients. Hospitals don’t communicate properly and neither does dispatch. You get talked down to by every health professional you come into contact with. If you get injured you get treated like it was your fault even though they hire inexperienced and undertrained staff that can’t lift properly. Don’t ever expect to get thanked by supervisors for your hard work but you will be thanked by patients, which I was always grateful for. This company has outsourced majority of their patient transfer because they only care about making money. They are greedy and don’t care about patients or staff out on the road that make their business work. Some coworkers are great but most of them lost their jobs when they went to outsourcing.
Points positifs
Patients and experience. Some good coworkers.
Points négatifs
Unfair minimum wages. Unfair treatment. Hard on the body.

Bus/Coach/Charter Driver (Ancien employé) –  Carp, ON10 janvier 2018
Poor management, NO communication and poorly trained staff and drivers! Monies owed!!
Expect you to work full-days for part pays!!
Constant barrage of emails, surveys and feedback from Headquarters!
Forced to work on poor snowy 30cm of snow days!
Both insafe and unsmart!!
Rather be on welfare than work for these stupidest people in the world!
THANK GOD FOR RETIREMENT!11

Unkind, Unfair Cheap
PTA (Ancien employé) –  Kitchener, ON21 décembre 2017
I worked for this company for over 2 years, its cheap, don't expect a raise- the management is rude- the new location sharing with schools is a joke- there is no lunch room, no perks, we are a glorified taxi service. Working over 13 hour days a lot and management doesn't thank you or care. Upper team gets perks and has meetings we meet maybe once a year and its a joke maybe two staff show up.

Worst company

School Bus Driver (Ancien employé) –  Ottawa11 octobre 2017
Known as Voyago in Ottawa. They do not back up their employees and don't seem to care about anything but money in their pockets. Management in Ottawa is a joke and they have lost many employees because of this.

Respectful staff, but hard on your body for $14/h
Patient Transfer Attendant (Employé actuel) –  Hamilton, ON24 septembre 2017
Very long days that go by very slow if you're with a partner you don't get along with. Pays the most that I've seen amongst all patient transfer jobs. Obviously no automatic stretchers, so can be tough on your knees/lower back over time.
