The work and people were awesome, had a lot of management and pay issues, numerous occasions where overtime and holiday pay took months to get paid, and the management solution was for me to "wait until next week to see if it's on that check", which led to months of it not being on "the next check"
I was working at a semiconductor company. The pay rate was great. The company employees that I worked for were great. The time off work was even better. 3 days on, 3 days off. 4 days on, 4 days off. Loved working there... still would be working there if I hadn't moved to Oklahoma.
Great pay and benefits

There is an opportunity to learn everyday at work there are always new situation and learning opportunities. There are a lot of avenues to push processes towards improvement due to the nature of the job of being on the ground overseeing processes. The hardest part of the job is the hours we keep which on the other hand turn out to be an advantage on time off.
Working only half of the usual general required time
the long hours at a time.
Clean room etiquette & load/unloading tools, training on various tools weekly, busy environment, hands on management, ?, love compressed shift work days on and off.
Compressed Shift, days on/off
This company isn't concerned about the people or workers you are treated like a number. There are lots of payroll issues from not getting paid to just ripping people off their overtime. The wages are minimal for the amount of work expected that may be due to my gender. They don't have good benefits or paid time off until you've worked 1650 hours! More bad to say than good easy. Just hoping to get on permanent so I don't have to rely on volt for anything.
It's a job
Most everything low pay, benefits, unprofessional

Contract at Agilent Technologies, Inc. (Currently changed to Keysight Technologies, Inc.) * Safe and high tech equipment in the lab * Prestigious and relaxing work areas * Highly efficient and organized management
I love working with the parametric testers, and only working 14-days per month. The working environment was always a lot of fun, I learned how to operate about 30 different tools.
Worked a total for 14-days per month.
Worked in the cleanroom, and had to wear the suite.
This was the best job I ever had. The engineer and coworker meetings to improve the products was a very good experience for me. The incentives we enjoyed as company employees were the best, Bonuses, discounts and occasional free food weren't bad either. I truly enjoyed working at Texas Instruments.
Best job ever.
Coudn't stay forever.
There are two negatives that stick out on my mind. One was that I was working a 3/4, 4/3 at the biggest semi conductor plant in Dallas, Tx and I had came down with the flu. The supervisor told me no problem but wished that I was able to work and I explained to her that I was vomiting. Upon arrival she placed me on 180 day suspension for not coming into to work and reminded me that I had 3 days off and 4 days off every other week and that I had plenty of time to get better. Mind you I came down with the flu 2 days before work but that should not matter. You cannot control the flu. Negative number two. This semiconductor company was handing out$3k in bonuses per employee to Volt Management at least twice a year as the main company told me that they had received their bonus and asked if I had received mine but apparently it was up to Volt to hand out the bonuses if they wished. Never happened and I worked there for 3.5 years before quitting. Would have left sooner if I was able to find a decent job.
