Worked as a contractor assigned to Sieman's Demonic's traveled to different U.S. Postal distribution centers to make major modifications to the flat sorter system
Great supervision and fellow employees
I was working at a semiconductor company. The pay rate was great. The company employees that I worked for were great. The time off work was even better. 3 days on, 3 days off. 4 days on, 4 days off. Loved working there... still would be working there if I hadn't moved to Oklahoma.
Great pay and benefits

Thank you for your feedback! At Volt we strive to make every interaction from apply to placement a positive one. We are happy that you had a great experience with us. We appreciate you taking the time to share and look forward to continuing our relationship!
The managers will push you to work faster and expect you to do a lot of different things at once because they are under staffed. When you break something because you are moving to fast you will be lucky if your not fired. The managers have never worked on the machines so they have no clue what it takes. And if you are having a problem with another employee then the managers don't want to get involved. They put impossible goals on you and if you don't do it then they want to yell at you. I do not recommend this company in anyway.
compensation for most positions is very low. no life/ work balance as most agents have to work ridiculous OT to live comfortably. management at the company im placed at is HORRIBLE. the staffing agency itself i'll give 3.5 out of 5 stars. the company im placed at receives 1.2 out of 5.

This is a temporary workplace where you know going in that you are expendable. The hours often include overtime with few benefits or rewards other than overtime pay. The managers are fair and act as intermediaries between client and staff. The clients just need help or they wouldn't be using a temporary staffing company so transitions are hectic - its a process. Be prepared to learn quick, work lots a hours and update your resume often.
Hourly wage, overtime, quick transitions to client sites
No personal, holiday or vacation payed time, no benefits, and no opportunity for full-time assignment
I was extremely impressed with Volt and the team. They were always helpful with anything that I needed. Even when my assignment ended, the manager was nice enough to come to my office and help me get my things out to my car.
Volt found me a job fast, benefits were very expensive. Supervisor/representive was on site and very helpful. Paid weekly and very nice office staff. Never had a problem with pay day or paid holidays. Would recommend to anyone looking for a job.
Quick to find you a job
Benefits are expensive
Started with Volt as a contractor for Raytheon Company in 2005- from there became a full-time Raytheon Company employee - then outsourced to CSC- The job never changed from company to company
Volt got my foot in the door at Raytheon
Nice people on staff just not enough career advancement. Good staff they do what they can to place you in a good work environment. They will go out of their way to place you with a job in your field. Pay isn't great though and thats the only bad thing about the company.
I would arrive and set up my desk pull up all applications we used and made sure our headsets are working. we would meet and go over the previous days stats and would have our mistakes pointed out. We would then sit back in our seats and prepare for incoming calls. Calls came in from start to finish, each case was different. Some were cable issues, some internet, some phone, and some all three. Various applications were on our screen that we used as tools to allow us to assist in many ways. Sometimes we woukd stay past out time to clock off, other times breaks were a no go, and if they did happen they were only 15 minutes longs. It was a temporary job and new as well but they had no established rules and the ones they had changed to often to keep up.
The restaurants down stairs had good food.
short breaks to no breaks. no discounts.
Volt has changed recruitment strategies a lot in the past 7+ years. I've heard that they have gone back to their original format and focused more RPO and Program based business.
Great technology to assist recruiters
Politics...a lot of it.
Management here make you feel very comfortable. Always willing to help and better us. I love the fact that all of my co-workers help each other out when needed. Wish pay was higher and they had good benefits. Other than that a pretty okay job.
Everybody helps everybody
no benefits and pay
I have never worked in such an unprofessional environment. Promises were made to all of us when we started working with these people, promises of a raise after 90 days and promotions. First off, let's start with management. Absolutely SUCKS! They show favoritism, disrespect agents, do not appreciate their employees unless it's for a video, picture, or visitors. The environment was draining and miserable, so much drama, and fighting. Hardly any accurate coaching a were done, people in management will not like you and literally plot to get you fired. Majority of the people up there are constantly doing and selling drugs, including management with their agents! Volt has nothing under control and neither does the contract company 24! People that work their do not matter to management, you are disposable and they will not let you forget it. No communication on policy and procedure changes. They need to learn how to run a business. I would suggest not even applying! They are terrible!
Lack of benefits, lack of raises, lack of control, lack of structure, drug environment, poor management
Volt was an average staffing agency. The work load steadily increased with no pay increase. The working conditions got more structured as time went on. A typical day was come in and clear the queue from over night. Then just a steady stream of cases. Two thirty minuets assigned breaks. They were excellent at working with your schedule. My co workers were typical call center folks. Loud and trying to work as little as possible.
I love working with the parametric testers, and only working 14-days per month. The working environment was always a lot of fun, I learned how to operate about 30 different tools.
Worked a total for 14-days per month.
Worked in the cleanroom, and had to wear the suite.
Great place to work great compensation packages. Staff is great, other workers are willing to help you be successful. Great team players on staff. Easy to communicate with everyone.
My administrative duties was order office supplies, answer incoming calls, schedule meetings, conference calls, travel arrangements, created UPS shipping labels.
Flexibility and learning new administrative responsibilities.
