It's fun testing video games everyday but there is no room for improvement or advancement
Points positifs

Points négatifs

Not a place to make a lifelong career, it's good to get some experience, but the experience is only applicable to getting an entry level job at most other companies.
Points positifs
sometimes you get to play games
Points négatifs
everything
I was a temporary video game tester for Volt in Vancouver working on a title for two weeks before heading to college. Shift starts around 7 am with a lunch break in the middle then ending around 3 to 4 pm. Sometimes we pick up more hours to get some overtime which is plus. Although I have a night job very close to home, I hope to work with Volt again for video game testing to boost up my work skills again as well as maintaining a balanced work life.
Points positifs
decent pay, overtime pay, casual/friendly staff
Points négatifs
nothing really.
Great place to test video games and see the pipeline. Great atmosphere to work in, multiple sports area both inside and out and simple work flow. Work flow consisted of early stand up meetings followed by instructions through out the day unless told to do one thing the entire day.
Points positifs
Free gym membership, Rare employee events, great way to meet people, Free lunch/dinner for ot, some employee benefits
Points négatifs
No Job security, no sick day benefits, lack of management, early benefits for people who signup, lunch hour is not paid for
