Entreprise mondiale, siège social distant à notre emplacement de travail. Gestion difficile et réponse lente aux demandes, beaucoup d'insatisfactions de la part de la clientèle (patients).

It was a great opportunity to work with Vitalaire.My timing was not good to work. COVID started at that time and I got laid off like thousands of other people. Still miss working there.

Ok place to work. Compensation is appropriate and freedom to plan your day your way is nice. Company car is given if you work enough hours. Management needs to be reviewed and more staff are required. Micromanaging is so heavy here. Team work seems non existent with management, but seems great with the baseline staff.

Management are never there to help succeed. They collect a cheque and make your life as stressful as possible. This is a good job if you have nothing else going.

The worst run company to ever work for. You get hired over the phone by someone in HR down east (never get a real interview), then you are hired onto a company that doesn’t care about your life outside of work. Horrible-long hours, awful vacation (2 weeks after slaving for over 40 hours a week, for 52 weeks straight.), terrible supervisor/ manager balance. Your direct supervisor “runs” the office far too chill (let’s people get away with being late or taking mondays off all the time), and has obvious “favorites”, and was a downright pleasure to work for... But your manager runs it so strictly, that when you find out that someone may be getting fired, bring it up to your supervisor, who then tells your manager and fired you. (For no good reason). Oh, and doesn’t have any actual business degrees I may add. The hours are terrible, because you are expected to work overtime. And go on call once a month with little training for emergencies. I was a driver I never should have been on call anyways. Plus you work with a laughable amount of co-workers (6) and are expected to do the job of 2 people anywhere else. All while making far less than your adverceries. In conclusion, this company will go under with the current management. Please fix this, or your company will go under. If I had some advice for this company, I would say to put your employees before your corporate greed, and realize when you constantly fire people for no reason, your team morale will stay low.

Good company with room for improvement. The focus is on healthcare and it shows, so thumbs up! Employees are dedicated and very nice to work with. This company offers good work-life balance and salary, and there's definitely an opportunity to advance but you have to pave your own paths. Management is lacklustre, but a few are inspiring and can freshen up the org.

Work hard, do well, but you may not advance very far. Tend to pigeon-hole employees and you get stuck in a dead end job. Nice enough people, decent product line.

Great Employees! Enjoyed working for this company, great benefits package, pretty laid back managers, can be a bit of a crazy place at times but its the nature of the business.

The word safety is thrown around a lot. However, if you have a full route, and get 5 more patients you still need to complete the route in the same amount of time. Management turns a blind eye to cutting corners, but will throw you under the bus if something goes wrong. There is tremendous pay inequity. I was paid over $5.00 an hour more than a female college who performed the same job.

Vitalaire the company is great. There are a lot of action plans put in place to increase employee engagement and frequent town hall meetings to keep employees up-to-date. The president is friendly. However, the department I worked in was not so great. The hardest part of the job is the amount of work. A lot of the staff members are not trained properly. Office politics is rampant and extremely distracting. Hard work does not equate advancements. It is extremely difficult to move ahead in this company. Overall, I would recommend this company as a whole but not the department I worked in.

Delivered mostly oxygen tanks to seniors with respiratory problems learned about compressed gas and cryogenic medical gas. Direct manager and coworkers were really great people to work with, dealing with the people at the head office, not so much. They seemed to be incredibly out of touch with the realities and daily ongoings of each branch, and kept expecting employees to squeeze more and more work into an already full-to-the-brim work day. Felt sometimes like you were doing the work of 2+ people. The hardest part of the job was having having to hand deliver and return oxygen tanks to/from people living on the third floor of a walk-up apartment, every week, carting them down a sidewalk covered in snow in the winter. Also delivering to clients in more dangerous areas of the city where I didn't always feel the safest, but unfortunately that's where they had to live and it was my job to make deliveries to them. (Dodging uncapped, hypodermic needles in the snow was definitely not something I was aware of during the hiring process, so be please be aware that there are a range of clients from varying walks of life, living in varying areas of whatever city you'll be working in). The most enjoyable part of the job was knowing you were making a difference in easing the suffering of some very sick people, sometimes children. Also getting to work with and learn about liquid nitrogen and liquid oxygen. Company leases new International trucks every few years, it was nice for once getting to drive a truck that had air conditioning in the summer. Work/life balance is off at - plus...

Very physical work, intense workload, handling 300+ cylinders in a day, dangerous work, sometimes spent more time out of the truck than in it, no bonuses, stat holidays are worked by default or use a vacation day to have it off, unused sick days don't get banked and disappear.

lots of pressure to get the work done in a short time. company wants 10 hours of work to be done in 8 hours, this can be ok at times but you feel like your set up to fail

There are long hours. You are pretty much on your own if the truck breaks down, or you have other problems. The deliveries still have to be done. Anything that you can put off, most likely have to be done 1st thing in the morning. Pretty much the same as other delivery jobs.

The whole work environment is under lots of stress.... employees are very unhappy. Two employees are on stress leave. HR is not approachable. lots of favoritism. Managers does not know their jobs. unrealistic goals in billing dept.

Worked with two faced co-workers who always challenge you if they see you smarter and hard working minorety individual!! Managments don't care about employers performance . But if you Are the worst performer and not a visible minorety you are the best !! The More you are dumb the more you great because the managment are carless ..

clean, test , adjust and or repair medical oxygen equipment liase between the company and various gov. institutions i.e. hospitals, long term care facilities... I meet people from all walks of life! I get to show them how to improve their quality of life .

The days at Vitalaire were different in each day, as you were constantly bringing problems to a close. From Truck problems to customers who needed emergency delivery. The people made it all work as nothing for the clients was too much.
