I had a good experience working there, learning a lot, but the store is not the best place If you need a full time job position. The schedules are really unestable. About managers, some of them don't know how to managed people, they even yell at you in front of customers when you make a mistake. It should be better.
While I was hired near Boxing Day and the training was very quick and not at all enough information for being a cashier during Christmas holidays, the majority of the managers were kind and helpful, and most of the girls were also sweet and very helpful. If you are anxious and long lineups of grumpy customers are not your thing, do not apply! That being said, it was a good seasonal position and I do not regret working there for the time I did, and would recommend it to anyone who enjoys selling, making friends, and has a good memory and is a fast learner. The discount and free promotional items are also definitely a perk!
Great discount, free items, good hours, nice coworkers
Stressful, fast-paced, bad training
If it weren’t for the location closing down I would have loved to continue exploring new career opportunities with them. We worked together as a team and it was just an overall unforgettable experience. I’ll always remember the laughs we shared.

I loved it at first but then the girls and managers are not that welcoming, they'll smile in your face then talk about you later. Felt a lot of fake love and felt out of place and don't feel like going way out of my way to fit in with people that are rude & people loved stealing stuff
Managers and employees, breakroom is dirty
All the staffs are very approachable and show appreciation even the store manager. Very easy job that sometimes I feel bored at work. I get employee discounts. Cons: you rarely get 8 hour shifts
Free snacks sometimes, employee discount
Short hours, minimum wage
It wasnt so bad but the competition for the workers for commission is high. It sucked that they dont care too much for the seasonal workers but I liked that it’s mostly for women and its very supportive. Besides that, management was okay as well.
Victoria's Secret is a friendly company to work for, with lot of tasks to keep you busy and opportunities to interact with customers. They hire a variety of ages and people, so everyone feels welcomed into the work family.
Supportive staff, interactive job
Enjoyed working there with friends! However, the management in this specific location was awful, mistreated me(was still new) and accused me of false accusations which afterwards I felt humiliated and felt like I was not to be trusted. After that, I felt so uncomfortable working.
good breaks, laid back job, good hours
I was a seasonal worker at Sherway gardens, I was extremely excited to get a job here but once I started working there the job wasn’t fun at all. I was expected to do things without having been properly trained. One worker always snaked other coworkers to management and was extremely fake to your face which made it really uncomfortable and unpleasant to work with her. She would basically try and steal your customer and try to tell you what to do. Towards the end of my contract I was beginning to enjoy working since I had made a few friends, but management was becoming more rude and sassy. This one girl who wasn’t even management but thought she was got annoyed if I asked her a question. I still had about a month left till my contract ended. They completely stopped giving me shifts and when i tried logging in to check my shifts they had removed me from the system and hadn’t bothered to call or email me that they had decided to end my contract. I had to call them and ask them and that’s when they told me. They basically fired me over the phone before my contract was done and gave no warning what so ever. Also some of the older staff thought they were better than the new hires.
Management, some staff, no training
I worked there for a short period of time. I got lots of hours to start with but near the end they just stopped scheduling me shifts I also wasn’t told that they were letting me go, after I asked management to notified me. The discounts are awesome for employees you get 20% off everything. The girls were nice to work for overall I had no issues with anyone. High expectations for new employees, they want you to make a sale based off of videos you watch the first day and expect you to have way to much sold for just starting. I feel it was a lot of pressure when you’re only a seasonal associate.
Discounts on products, friendly people
High expectations for new employees
the people were great and I enjoyed my time working there. I did my training in a short amount of time and started working as soon as possible which was a great benefit. the team did a great job at making me feel welcomed and appreciated.
great discounts on things you'll love
I love the other employees, the teamwork, the clothing and the hours offered, however it was seasonal. I would have enjoyed staying on and working full time hours but I was so thankful for the opportunity.
The clothing and discount
The managers are rude, they don't give you enough hours due to the amount of staff there is, don't recommend. You barely get to know management, its like a different world and the girls that work there are mean.
Working at Victoria's Secret is every girls dream as it is one place we all love to visit when we shop. It is never a boring job as everyday when you walk in is a different set up and it's a fabulous shift no matter what day it is! Love my job here and I'd come back in a heartbeat
Management could be a bit better in terms of treating everyone equally. The mall was fairly busy therefore you'll always be occupied with customers, which is great. Learned a lot in regards to the latest fashion trends and bettering my interaction with customers. Pacing from one customer to the next can be difficult but at the end, it's all worth it.
The job itself was the best, it was the regular associates who I feel have an issue with the seasonals. But I never let it bother me because the hours were great, and the pay was amazing!
environment is amazing.
It was like high school again
