I had a great time at Victoria's Secret. I worked there as a Seasonal Sales Specialist. Sometimes the hours were a lot and we started really early but it was fun. Everyone was nice, we all worked as a team and I would definitely suggest people apply for a position there. Management was also great and very helpful. They recognized you when you did a good job, which was nice.

A typical day at work would be me on the sales floor, assisting customers with buying needs and offering them promotions as well as bra measurements. I learned how to be a team player, take direction, and how to communicate with a large range of people. The hardest part of the job was when it got busy and I had to manage a lot of tasks at once. The most enjoyable was easily my coworkers who made everyday at work a great one.
Lots of extended shifts
The job itself is often underestimated, as it is, in fact, a lot of hard work. Management was great except for HR/recruitment team. Time tends to go by very slowly, however music makes up for the long hours, and lastly, monthly benefits such as free mini perfumes, lotions and etc are always a catch, as well as company discount available to employees at all limited brands locations.
annoying dress code
I don't recommend anyone to work for them. The pay is poor and they don't give you hours. They don't consider that you have bills to pay. They can do better.
meeting new people
not enough hours. management are not good. lie about getting commission
Overall, Victoria Secret is a good company to work at it has many perks. However, the location that I worked at was not the best. Management at this certain location was not the best. Constantly told us to wear makeup to work and did not respect the fact that some of us had school and exams.
Really great company to work for. You receive regular free bras, panties, outfits, makeup, and perfume as titled as 'gratis'. The company also has numerous incentive programs that rewards workers who do their job well with monthly bonuses. Like any other retailer if the managers are bad then the store is bad. The store I worked at went through three different store managers in less than two years but now has a great one which makes the job much better. Getting good hours is next to impossible. You can never count on a consistent paycheque.
Gratis, incentive programs, high base rate.
Hours for pay not consistent
Company tried to improve themselves but only left their dedicated employees to leave and be replaced with mindless workers.
It is a great work place. The individual experiences you create for guests is memorable, it feels very rewarding to have the chance to make a woman love her body. The girls I work with and have meet through this job have become amazing friends, it became more than a workplace, it has become a home. Management was easy to approach in any situation, each have their strong points but they are always there to talk. The environment is a judge-free zone. We are there to create an uplifting experience and we end up lifting up each other at the same time. The hardest part of the job is not being able to help a guest the way you would like too, it takes more than a pretty piece of lingerie to get your confidence back-it takes your whole mind before your whole body to feel beautiful. So when a woman is in that mindset sometimes it is hard to get her to come out of it.
it was good but no room for growth and advancement. It was amazing getting free products when you're an employee there. Sometimes, it is a "buy-in" where it is priced for cheap for thei employees. The management is awesome. The only downside of this is it is commissioned. So, often times, the girls fight for sales.
free products/bras, buy-in for lowered prices for employees, commission is great
associates fight for sales all the time since it is commissioned.
Fun job all-in-all. Management makes a good point of ensuring that you're coached for performance They put a lot of time and money into training Advancement in the company is scarce, most of the management is recruited externally. The way they choose salary is unexplainable, as many people with little experience will make more than others.
Team environment, flexibility in scheduling
