Working there it was fun learned a lot met some nice people. Their was a lot of favouritism going on when it came to certain things but overall it was ok environment to work in Would’ve been nice to transfer to another location since my store location closed down jobless now
Amazing workplace with exception managers. A Typical day at work was a good day starting at 6am onward. Enjoyed the people I worked for and was impressed with the Job.
It was a pleasure working for Victoria secret for the past two summers. I thrive in a fun, fast paced team environment. I loved getting to know all of the wonderful employees whom I became very good friends with. It was an honour to be apart of the company's success!
good job to have as a part time job if youre a student. its fun and you build relationships with everyone you work with. positions/roles within the store are usually interchangeable. There is gratis per month where you get free or discounted items that are from new collections etc.

I've worked in many retail places before, but I never disliked somewhere so much. The management will cut your shifts without telling you, call you off and promise shifts but will not follow through. When I was hired, I told them I wanted to work on the floor selling, but my only shifts consisted of moring stock (at 6 am) and three-hour cash shifts. I was looking for a job to help pay for school and my bills but with one 4 hour shift a week and being called off on your single shift, there is no point in working here. There is obvious favoritism and it is just a toxic workplace. Only perk about this workplace is the discount.
Management, No shifts
They are good with re hiring people so I always go during my school breaks, company culture is trash though all girls so super catty and annoying. But whenever Christmas comes they call me and I work lots of hours which is pretty nice.
Lots of drama
One thing I absolutely LOVE about working at Victoria's Secret was the coworkers! I made tons of new friends and enjoyed seeing them every day! You must be quite bubbly and talkative to work here as being a conversationalist is more than beneficial. Some of the things I do not enjoy about working here is the management, as well as the company's over exaggeration of making your sales quota. My managers made a point to ensure that I basically NAG customers until they buy something, and as much as possible. It was more about sales than genuine customer service, which I did not enjoy at all.
great coworkers, good product, great discounts/insentive
poor management, questionable sale objectives
Its a fun place to work as a teenager, great perks and discount, employees around your age and cute products. However it is a very competitive environment with having quotas. Everyone was always trying to get credit for sales and competing for customers. Also having 3 or 4 managers rotating they all had different ideas and views of how things should be done making it very confusing at times.
Everyone who worked there was so kind and genuine. I learned a lot about the importance of the customer and how essential values are to a team environment. They did a good job of making *everyone* feel welcome and appreciated. Extremely patient, wonderful people.
If you have a good team, you can definitely learn a lot about customer service. They give you sales goals to meet, but it's something that'll keep motivating you to sell. It's a good work ethic to have I think. The hours are unreliable because they've been doing poor sales company-wide.
Discounts and Gratis, Coaching
Understaffed, Not enough hours
working with this company is fun also working with different people give me lost of experience .this job environment discovering so many different people character base on we sell shows their expectation.
The culture was very fun and upbeat however I had some problems with the management due to the cattiness of some of the worker. I did have some fun while it lasted but I was happy to be finished when I was.
Long Hours and Catty Staff
Management is rude! They Do not acknowledge you or your hard work. Expect to much from employees will get mad and yell at you if did something wrong. No training at all you’re put on the floor with no training and expect you to know everything. You get no hours. I do not recommend you to work here!!!!
Management, work, staff
I loved working here. The only problem was how management treated employees there was always a favourite game being played. They always picked certain people over others but as for benefits and how the actual company treated you it was very nice!
free items you get every once in awhile
The company itself is amazing as its an empowering place for women to work however the london masonville location is not run this way anymore. The managers are rude, hurtful to employees and do not care about what the employees wants and needs are. The job entitles you to free things each month including new bras and/or products but its not even worth working there for that. The pay is minimum wage and the amount of stress they force on you to sell bras will have you feeling depressed if its not a job you're used to.
I learned quite a lot at this job although it was my first job, it was very educational. However, it seemed as if they played favorites in a way, they gave most of the shifts to people that had previously worked there and instead of taking the time to teach and show each new employee each job. There was a 3-day sort of workshop that highlighted a brief description of each job. Despite that, the environment was friendly and inviting. Overall if you want a basic understanding of what retail is like this is the place to start.
You learn a lot as a first job, and very friendly enviroment
Favoritism and not enough with the teaching portion
incountering many people on a daily, attending to what they need or want. their are many types of product that it can confuse you. hardest part of the job is that tohers employees can take your sales. most enjoyable part of the job is that you're helping others
employees gets discounts
