I loved working here because of the community. Working with a group of women was an awesome experience and all my coworkers were really accepting and chill. I will not lie, for a retail job it took a lot of work. From the late night shifts spent rearranging the whole store, to dealing with rude customers, to staying on top of your game when it came to knowing the products you were selling, it wasn't easy. But if I had the chance to do it all again I would, I learned so much and the happiness I felt when helping another girl feel sexy and comfortable with her body was like no other.
Working at VS was quite difficult because of the management. They were not open in terms of flexibility of hours, and the management group is younger and do not know what they are doing.
Working at Victoria's Secret was an incredible experience. I enjoyed working in a fast-paced environment and keeping busy. The team at VS is much like a family. All new employees are made to feel welcomed and appreciated.
Overall, working at Victoria secret was definitely an eye opener, A reminder how down and dirty retail can really be. I meet some great people well working there. The only pro. For cons don’t know where to start the employees, the manager, the schedule, the environment. Great seasonal job not for a full time nor partime

Overall, good job. Good experience learned from the management and employees. Hours were very minimal therefore was dissatisfied. Eventually quit to find bigger and better opportunities
Monthly free merchandise
Not enough hours
The West Edmonton mall location was the most wonderful place to work until a couple years after working there the management went down hill and it was more about numbers than customer service. The company itself is an absolute wonderful company for workers as well as customers. It was where I learned how to connect with customers and how to be a great sales person.
Management drives associates to push sales to (sometimes) extremes, it's the only focus of the company despite their claims of promoting a work-family environment. There's a definite hierarchy between cashiers, sales, backroom. Very competitive environment but you can meet great people and become a quicker thinker and better learner.
I worked seasonal at Victoria Secrets for 3 months. The workplace itself was a nice place, big mall, and lots of new faces. Everyone was nice, however once you get use to the place you see their true personalities (not everyone, but a good handfull.)
it is an alright place to work part time while you are in school because they are very accommodating. However they are also very disorganized as managers and will schedule you outside your availability because they can't keep track of their employees and will not train you well if you are seasonal. The co workers and managers are pretty nice though and overall is is an ok place to work.
Okay training, okay discount, nice coworkers, decent decor. Pay is good if you have experience, amazing training and customer service experience. However, upper mgmt, too many different managers with different opinions and attitudes. Maybe not all stores are like that though
The staff at this location was horrible to work with, very indecisive and unorganised which took away from the experience. Being pushed to haggle customers continuously takes away from their shopping experience, as well as the manager's telling you to only spend 2-3 mins with each customer.
good discount your body will killl its hard to balance a life outside of school its a lot of work you meet a lot people you learn things about people you learn how to read people
your gonna get worked so hard
Such a great place to work with, awesome team awesome customers always ,i been learning having all type customer emotions handling all problems in a best way , all problems solving by team work , as you know there is awesome team behind you
I worked at Victoria Secret for a year and a half in the beginning I found the other employees made it hard for me to feel comfortable but the pay and hours were great. Once the management changed you'd receive shifts based on your friendships rather then your performance which is why I'm looking for a new job at the moment. Overall good environment if you make the right friends.
Great store discount
Bias towards those who got shifts based on friendships
The store has extremely strict procedures and policies regarding everything - floorsets, selling to customers and attitudes. The management was the worst part. They were strict, unclear with instructions and quick to anger and frustration. They liked to bully people around and make them feel little and powerless. I would not recommend this job.
Typical day at work was usually fast paced, cash almost always had a line up and fellow employees were more than happy to help new staff learn. It was a great work environment.
its a good place.i just needed more hours. the discount is great and the employees are very nice. its a very competitive store and the commissions are ok as well
Hired as a seasonal associate, received a good amount of shifts during the holiday season, It was very busy I was mostly on cash and had some early morning shipment shifts. Didn't really like the management team. My co workers were pretty friendly though.
hours are not stable , shifts are call in , management is unorganized ,there are not benefits and they are not understanding of your situation. Good coworkers are the only pro
Discount, good coworkers
Unstable hours, disorganized
