My routine was to like fold clothes, sell them and organize all the stuff in stock. I have learned how to organize the store and deal with costumers, also I have learned about the store history.
Workplace is very chill, associates make working there worth it. Management could be a little better in regards to just not seeing their employees as numbers and more than that. Some of the associates get really stressed and take it out on others which creates a toxic culture but it could be trained on. The pay is pretty good in comparison to other retailers. It’s good if you are just looking for something part-time or something to begin with.

I loved working at Victoria’s Secret Until my store got appointed a new general manager who would choose favourites and verbally abused others by saying if they didn’t make the sales for the day they would fire them. They created such a toxic environment that not only did loyal, long time employees quit, other managers quit as well. Worst location ever I would not recommend working there at all
If you don’t want to put on a persona, you get less hours and they treat you badly until you quit. Sale goals are exceptionally high, only one or two people a shift actually make them and the rest get yelled at. You are worshipped for name dropping and the people who do real work like in the fitting rooms are often overlooked. In fitting rooms, you are expected to do full fittings and measurements with customers for absolutely no extra pay. Promotion is difficult unless you adhere to exactly the type of peppy fake person they are looking for, and they don’t respect their knowledge employees. Pay is usually pretty good, but you don’t make commission for all the work you do.
Was exciting to work at Robson and Burrard store. So many beautiful things easy to upscale. Some of the team leads could have been better and there was little time to read learn all about products . You had to work on floor and sell and learn with I pad. I think it would be better in a room and someone go over products in small groups. I think it would have better results.
Fun environment good discounts
Not enough on training.
A typical day at work is helping out the customers, also having a good time with my co-workers. I learned how to size them, to see what bra would work for them. Even though I wasn't a manager, I was able to train the new employees, have them in groups. Work place culture was getting along and multicultural. The hardest part was finding the right bra but other than that was great. The most enjoyable part of the job was having to do night shifts during the holidays, since we worked but at the same time we would have fun helping each other out.
it is an alright place to work part time while you are in school because they are very accommodating. However they are also very disorganized as managers and will schedule you outside your availability because they can't keep track of their employees and will not train you well if you are seasonal. The co workers and managers are pretty nice though and overall is is an ok place to work.
Costumers know how to keep you stay in your feet. Managers would be happy to help as much as they can during the day. However some costumers are just different. The company offers a lot of stuff for the employees so they can offer a good feedback and reviews for the costumers when they have questions around our items. But the flexibility of the workplace is what is good about the company
certain managers and costumers
its a good place.i just needed more hours. the discount is great and the employees are very nice. its a very competitive store and the commissions are ok as well
A typical day at work includes folding, sorting, and putting away lingerie. I learned how manipulative time can be. It either slows down or speed up and in this case, it slows down. I think the hardest part of my job is working with time because work is predictable and one will find oneself doing the same thing over and over again, and which makes it difficult to look forward to going to work. However, my friendly co-workers make the long hours bearable.
It is a busy, huge retail store, which is trying to be the best they can. I learned a lot about how a store works, how to deal with money and the issues faced in a big retail store. I also learned how customers are different and demand attention. It is a good place to work however it is not my field. I am learning a lot and definitely will use a lot of the skills acquired there in my next job.
Fun, beautiful, a lot to learn as employee and as customer
Not my field, new managers
