I've worked here for almost 2 years and it is a good retail position. Pay is above minimum wage with a 45 cent increase after a year. On weekends and during holidays it gets hectic and you will be pulled in different directions but it is important to be collected. They keep track of sales goals and encourage all associates to meet a certain number of sales per hour. If the entire store goes over sales goals by a certain percent, we get a monthly bonus. (seasonal associates not eligible). Management is generally nice for the most part. The coworkers are what made me stay at this job for so long.

I loved it at first but then the girls and managers are not that welcoming, they'll smile in your face then talk about you later. Felt a lot of fake love and felt out of place and don't feel like going way out of my way to fit in with people that are rude & people loved stealing stuff
Managers and employees, breakroom is dirty
Great place to work if you like the product. good management teams, lots of training and visual direction. They offer good benefits and incentives working there. job is enjoyable meeting new people and customer satisfaction
Good incentive for staff
long hours lots of maintenance of store visuals
Victoria's secret is a very fun brand. I had the chance to work with both P&C, Fashion, Accessories. I work with a team; I rely on them to show up for work in proper uniform. the hardest part of my job was having inventory in my store.
Overall, working at Victoria secret was definitely an eye opener, A reminder how down and dirty retail can really be. I meet some great people well working there. The only pro. For cons don’t know where to start the employees, the manager, the schedule, the environment. Great seasonal job not for a full time nor partime
- Given good hours when asked - You can make your work up - You can work and experience different positions based on your interests - Atmosphere and environment is great
Good Employee Discounts
Can get very pressured
Overall, good job. Good experience learned from the management and employees. Hours were very minimal therefore was dissatisfied. Eventually quit to find bigger and better opportunities
Monthly free merchandise
Not enough hours
I've been here for a while and the job is okay. There is a lot of pressure to achieve sales goals so if you are not interested in selling then this is not the right place for you. Overall a good job to have while in school.
discount is good
managers are not trained very well
Management is very friendly and approachable. Easy to learn cash, and being a sales representative gives you the opportunity to earn commission. Very friendly staff.
Friendly staff, management.
Very fast paced and intense working environment. High expectations and sales target for associate. Overwhelming tasks and knowledge for new hires to take in with least amount of time. Frequent shift cuts result in very few shifts and fewer hours per week.
Open communication, helpful co-worker, family enviroment
Frequent shift cuts by managers for no proper reason
I was a seasonal worker at Sherway gardens, I was extremely excited to get a job here but once I started working there the job wasn’t fun at all. I was expected to do things without having been properly trained. One worker always snaked other coworkers to management and was extremely fake to your face which made it really uncomfortable and unpleasant to work with her. She would basically try and steal your customer and try to tell you what to do. Towards the end of my contract I was beginning to enjoy working since I had made a few friends, but management was becoming more rude and sassy. This one girl who wasn’t even management but thought she was got annoyed if I asked her a question. I still had about a month left till my contract ended. They completely stopped giving me shifts and when i tried logging in to check my shifts they had removed me from the system and hadn’t bothered to call or email me that they had decided to end my contract. I had to call them and ask them and that’s when they told me. They basically fired me over the phone before my contract was done and gave no warning what so ever. Also some of the older staff thought they were better than the new hires.
Management, some staff, no training
